On the evening of March 19, Liu Bocheng came to the duty room as usual and asked about Comrade Deng Xiaoping's safety, and the duty officer told Liu Bocheng that Comrade Deng Xiaoping was going to take the Baijin Road today.
Hearing this, Comrade Liu Bocheng had some hidden worries, because Baijin Road was close to the railway, and the enemy had a lot of armored vehicles next to the railway, patrolling every night.
How dare the two soldiers who remained in the duty room let the division commander Liu Bocheng be on duty for them, and under the persuasion of Liu Bocheng, the two had to give up and return to their residence to rest.
Liu Bocheng, who was in the duty room, while checking the previous duty records, waited for Deng Xiaoping's new telegram, and late at night, Liu Bo accepted Deng Xiaoping's telegram that had reached Chen Geng's department before he relaxed his mind.
In April, several consecutive sweeps by the Japanese army were fruitless, and combined with the previous experience in sweeping, the Japanese army re-formulated a new sweeping plan, comprehensively sweeping and adjusting it to the area where the senior generals of the Eighth Route Army were located, and also assassinating the senior generals and headquarters of our army.
In order to ensure the success of the battle plan, the enemy asked the intelligence agencies to spy on the headquarters of our army and drew a photo of each general in a small book and distributed it to every Japanese army and puppet army.
When Liu Bocheng received the information, he was very worried about the comfort of Comrade Deng Xiaoping at the command headquarters, so he sent a telegram to Li Da, instructing Li Da to protect the safety of Comrade Deng Xiaoping in Zhongtiao Mountain at all costs.

A day later, Liu Bocheng finally received a telegram from the Taiyue Military Region, and Comrade Deng Xiaoping returned to the Taiyue Military Region after a safe breakthrough. Liu Bocheng's nervous mood finally relaxed, and at this time, Deng Xiaoping, after learning that Liu Bocheng had done so for himself, tightly held Liu Bocheng's hand.
Recalling the bits and pieces of the past, Deng Xiaoping looked at Liu Bocheng in front of him even more sadly, bowed deeply with his family like Liu Bocheng's body, and two days after farewell, on October 16, 1986, the flag was lowered to half-mast to mourn the old marshal. At that time, on the day of his father's death, in the hospital, Liu Taixing saw the old revolutionaries in the ward and the comrades of the Party Central Committee, and at that time, the central government was still discussing the contents of the memorial service for Marshal Liu Bocheng, and Liu Taixing also agreed to completely follow the procedures of the Party Central Committee after listening to it.

In 1939, Liu Taixing was born in Zuoquan County, Taihang Mountain, the division headquarters of the Eighth Route Army, when the War of Resistance Against Japan was extremely difficult, Liu Bocheng was not accompanied by Taihang when he was born because of military affairs. Wang Ronghua looked at the child in his arms and wrote a telegram to Liu Bocheng, and soon after Liu Bocheng named the child Taihang in the telegram, Liu Taihang, who was born in Taihang and stayed in Taihang.
In 1940, the commander of the Eighth Route Army, Xu Xiangqian, was ordered to return to Yan'an from Shandong, passing along the road through the Taihang Mountain base area, and Liu Bocheng hoped that Xu Xiangqian could return to Yan'an with Liu Taihang and ask Zhu De to help raise him, because it was just the beginning of the White Rabbit War. Liu Bocheng had no way to ask Boss Zhu De to help raise him.
At that time, when Liu Taixing first arrived in Yan'an, he arranged to live in the Central Nursery School in Yan'an, which was full of the children of the frontline leaders, which was set up by the central government for the generals who fought on the front line.
When Liu Taixing saw Liu Bocheng again, Liu Bocheng and his wife had returned to Yan'an from Taihang, and in October 1943, Liu Taixing met his parents and father.
At that time, Liu Taixing had not seen Liu Bocheng for many years, and he stared at Liu Bocheng for a while and said: My father is Zhu De's father and Liu Bocheng's father, who are you?
Liu Bocheng walked over and picked up Liu Taixing and said: I am Liu Bocheng.
Liu Taixing shook his head and said: Liu Bocheng's father fought on the front line, how can he come back?
Under the explanation of Liu Bocheng and his wife and the nursery staff, Liu Taixing believed that these were his parents.
In 1945, Liu Bocheng received orders from above to return to the Taihang Mountains to work, and Liu Taihang had reached the age of studying, so he could only continue to live in Zhu De's house. At that time, some people proposed to build a school for Liu Taixing's children, but Liu Bocheng did not agree and sent Liu Taixing to a primary school in the local countryside to study with other children.
In 1949, Liu Bocheng marched into the southwest from the Taihang Mountain base area, in order to let Liu Taihang study well, Liu Bocheng let Liu Taihang stay in the home of Zhu Laozong in Beijing, from primary school to middle school, and later many people and children lived in Zhu De's home, Liu Bocheng wrote to Liu Taihang to tell Liu Taihang to live in another place.
From a young age, Liu Taixing rarely lived with Liu Bocheng and his wife, and after graduating from junior high school, Liu Bocheng wanted Liu Taihang to be around, so he let Liu Taihang return to Nanjing to go to school. I want to discipline Liu Taixing myself, after all, when I was a child, I rarely participated in Liu Taixing's life.
After the founding of New China, Liu Bocheng was given a house in Beijing, and at the beginning Liu Bocheng and his wife Wang Ronghua said: We must not engage in specialization, let alone before liberation, that is, after liberation, we cannot engage in specialization, we are the common people, and we should be in step with the lives of the masses.
