Follow the red footprints and feel the heroic life

On July 5, 2021, all members of the Summer Social Practice Team of the Yongxin Class of Luoyang Normal University came to Song County, Luoyang City, visited the former site of the Headquarters of the Henan Military Region in Checun Town, Song County, Luoyang City, and the Shuren Village History Museum, learned the local red heroic deeds, and once again embarked on the Long March Road that the soldiers of the Red 25th Army walked in that year - Red Army Lane.

Checun Town, as an old revolutionary area, passed through Checun during the Long March, and the Red Third Army and the Red Twenty-fifth Army passed through Checun, and the Battle of Huomiao Temple, the Battle of Hongshiguan (Muzhaling), and the Eighteen-Pan Campaign were smashed and chased and intercepted, and the revolutionary predecessors successively threw their heads and spilled their blood on the fiery land of Checun, leaving a glorious battle footprint. The headquarters of the Henan Military Region was established to open up the anti-Japanese base areas in western Henan, and at that time it was an indispensable position for carrying out guerrilla warfare, defending the great northwest, and communicating the strategic links between northern Shaanxi and the anti-Japanese base areas in north China and central China. Shuren Village is also an old revolutionary village, where the Long March of the Red Twenty-fifth Army once stayed overnight.

Along the path traveled by the Red Army and the Eighth Route Army in the Long March of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in those years, the members of the Yongxin Class visited the war rooms, headquarters, and guard rooms at the former site of the headquarters of the Henan Military Region, admired precious revolutionary relics and photographs, listened to the old Red Army tell the story of the Long March and the War of Resistance, and received a profound baptism in ideology and spirit, and were deeply encouraged and shocked. This visit and study made the students more deeply feel the heroic and fearless revolutionary spirit of the older generation of revolutionary fighters. In the future study and life, we will strengthen our ideals and beliefs, not forget our original intentions, keep our mission in mind, live up to Shaohua, and disobey the times.
