Dairy products are a food that is loved by consumers. The State Administration of Market Supervision focuses on the problem of "assured consumption and quality consumption" that the people are concerned about, and in the in-depth implementation of the "I do practical things for the masses" practice activities, it is found that consumers reflect that the production date marked on the packaging of some short-shelf life dairy products is not easy to find, and the expiration date of the shelf life is not easy to calculate, which is easy to cause inconvenience to consumption, produce expired food, and lead to food waste.

The Announcement clearly stipulates that dairy production enterprises shall, in accordance with the provisions of the Food Safety Law, mark the production date and shelf life on the packaging of the dairy products produced, and encourage dairy product manufacturers to take the lead in clearly marking the expiration date of the shelf life on short-term shelf life dairy products such as fresh milk and yogurt that need to be refrigerated and preserved, so that consumers can more intuitively distinguish when the purchased food expires.

The "Announcement" pointed out that in order to reduce the cost of enterprises, enterprises can print the text description content on the packaging label in advance, and print the specific date in a prominent position on the packaging during the production process.
