Zhang Zuolin during the reign of the Qing army
Zhang Zuolin was born in the grass and reckless, and only studied in a private school for less than a year in his childhood, and after his departure, in the welcome and sending of the officialdom, he ate a lot of pain that did not understand the ink, and even made many jokes, leaving a handle for others. In order not to let the pain of his uneducated culture repeat itself on his children, he attached great importance to the education of his children, and he was bent on educating his children into a well-informed all-rounder of literature and martial arts, especially for the eldest son Zhang Xueliang, who spared no effort to cultivate carefully. Zhang Zuolin had no time to take care of the education of his children because of his busy career, but whether he was in Xinmin or Fengtian, he always hired the most famous local private school for Zhang Xueliang's sisters and brothers within the scope of his ability conditions. When Zhang Xueliang had just turned 7 years old, Zhang Zuolin hired the famous Confucian Cui Mingyao (Zi Junsheng) of Bajiaotai (Tai'an County) as a family school teacher to enlighten Zhang Xueliang and his sister Zhang Guanying. Later, he hired his own teacher, Yang Jingzhen (Zhen), a famous Ru in Haicheng, as Zhang Xueliang's tutor.

It can be said that several teachers of Zhang Xueliang's sisters and brothers are not idle people, and each is famous. Jin Liang's knowledge, experience and calligraphy skills in Zhang Xueliang's successive teachers are all first-class.
Golden beams
In 1911, China was in a state of turmoil, and Zhang Zuolin, who was in full swing, ushered in a major turnaround in his career. During the Fengtian Xinhai Revolution, Zhang Zuolin was appointed by Zhao Erxun as the commander of the front and middle roads of the Fengtian Patrol Battalion because of his "leading troops to serve the king" Zhao Erxun and "making meritorious contributions to escorting the ship", thus grasping the military power of Fengtian. After the abdication of the Qing Emperor in February 1912, Yuan Shikai was inaugurated as the provisional president, and the power of the three eastern provinces achieved a smooth transition, and Zhao Erxun was reappointed as the governor of the three eastern provinces. In September, Zhang Zuolin was appointed by Yuan Shikai as the commander of the 27th Division, and at the end of November, the 27th Division was transferred to Fengtian. This year, he was proud of the spring breeze and his career was booming. However, Zhao Shi, the wife who had suffered with him and Zhang Xueliang's birth mother, was unable to share this glory with him at this moment, and on August 4 of that year, Zhao Shi died of illness at xinmin's old residence at the age of 37.

The 11-year-old Zhang Xueliang, along with his sister Zhang Guanying and younger brother Zhang Xueming, was taken to the provincial capital of Fengtian by Zhang Zuolin's second wife, Lu Shouxuan. Yang Jingzhen, who was Zhang Xueliang's tutor, was also invited to Fengtian. Compared with the cold and backward new people, Fengtian City is much more lively and prosperous. Here, Zhang Xueliang often visits the Fengtian YMCA presided over by Director General Pride, which often holds lectures, book reports and various cultural and sports activities, and through the YMCA Zhang Xueliang came into contact with many new ideas and concepts.
Mr. Yang Jingzhen, who is ideologically conservative, has outmoded concepts, rigid teaching, and rigid consciousness, is far from meeting the needs of Zhang Xueliang, who is ideologically active and advanced in consciousness. The contradiction between teachers and students, whose ideology and concepts are seriously contradictory, is deepening day by day, and Yang Jingzhen has taken the initiative to resign from the museum. In desperation, Zhang Zuolin accepted Yuan Jinjiao's suggestion and agreed to Mr. Yang Lao's resignation as a tutor. Although Zhang Zuolin is entangled in official duties and has many important things, it is urgent to find a suitable teacher for Zhang Xueliang.
