Unexpectedly, many years later, he defected to the Japanese and became a traitor himself. Of course, Wang Jingwei himself did not see it this way, he thought that this was a helpless move, "Gu Wu thinks that the weak eat the strong, and the strong are inherently guilty, that is, the weak are not innocent. Sin exists in heaven and earth because those who give are also those who receive. What will be done to those who have no receptivity? It is also wished that the self-confessed of the world as the weak will also think. ”
In terms of national righteousness, Wang Jingwei is difficult to read, but he still has one thing to do with his wife, which is still worth affirming. If you have seen the photo of Wang Jingwei's wife Chen Bijun, you will find that the two are not a good match, and many people use "the combination of a handsome man and an ugly woman" to describe the two. On March 3, 1944, Wang Jingwei flew to Japan for medical treatment, and on the afternoon of November 10 of that year, Wang Jingwei died at the age of 61 at the Imperial University Hospital in Nagoya, Japan.
After Wang Jingwei died, he was transported back to Nanjing for burial. At that time, the Wang puppet government declared that "the time was very high, and in order to abide by the precepts of Mr. Wang not to work hard and not to hurt the wealth, it was decided to avoid all efforts to avoid expenses and seek its simplicity", in fact, Wang Jingwei's funeral was very large. According to Wang Jingwei's last words, his cemetery was selected on Meihua Mountain in front of the Ming Xiaoling Tomb, and the cemetery was built on the top of Meihua Mountain, opposite the Zhongshan Mausoleum.
Before his death, Wang Jingwei left a "self-deprecating" desperate poem, "The heart will destroy everything, and the end of the world will be full of complaints." Even if there are ancestors who taste the heat and cold, there is no posterity to continue the Spring and Autumn Festival. "Because Wang Jingwei is a negative figure, little is known about his descendants. Wang Jingwei and Chen Bijun have six children, except for the five sons who died early, the other five children have grown up.
After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the Wang Jingwei cemetery was blown up, and the Nationalist government built a small pavilion on the original site, and outsiders could not see that this place was once Wang Jingwei's cemetery, and this small pavilion was now Guan Meixuan. As mentioned earlier, Wang Jingwei has five children who have grown up, and they have all left the mainland. In the 1990s, Wang Jingwei's youngest son, Wang Wenti, finally came to Nanjing to pay homage to his father.
According to the Cultural Relics Department of the Sun Yat-sen Cemetery Administration, in the 1990s, a kneeling statue of Wang Jingwei was also set up on the site of Wang Jingwei Cemetery, facing the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Shrine to show his intention of prostrating to Sun Yat-sen. Wang Wenti also saw his father's kneeling image and was silent for a long time. Subsequently, Wang Wenti prostrated his head three times to Wang Jingwei on his knees, leaving behind the nine words "If you do something wrong, you should be punished" and turn your head and leave.
