In addition to the status of the world's grand master of the horse head, nearly seventy years ago, Qi Baoligao had another special identity - a living Buddha.
On the second day of the second month of the lunar calendar in 1944, the day of the folk custom "Dragon Rising", a boy was born in the family of an extraordinary family in the Horqin Grassland, and this boy was Qi Baoligao. The ancestor of this family was The eldest son of Genghis Khan, Shuchi, who went to the Zibazig steppe with the Great Khan during his western expedition and established the Zibazig Khanate. Therefore, this family generation took "Qi" as the surname, but at that time, Qi Baoligao was not called Qi Baoligao, but "Fifty-Three". It turned out that when he was born, his father was 53 years old, and his name came from this.
At the age of 3, Xiao Fifty-three was confirmed as the fifth living Buddha of the Moli Temple in the Horqin Grassland. However, this living Buddha of his did not last long.
Qi Baoligao: During the Northeast Revolution in 1949, I smashed my temple, and when I was finished, I went home. I didn't want to be a living Buddha, I wanted to make music, I wanted to play the harp, just let me go home, I was happy.
In fact, Qi Baoligao showed a very high musical talent very early. On the dirt road on the Horqin grassland, the telephone line set up on the side of the road, the wind blows "buzzing", these boring hums, to him sound so pleasant, like a moving symphony. And whenever he heard the sound of the horse's head, he was even more excited.

After the death of Qi Baoligao's father, he and his mother were dependent on each other, during this time, he still did not give up playing the piano, on October 1, 1958, Qi Baoligao had just graduated from primary school, just when the Inner Mongolia Experimental Theater Troupe came to recruit students, the school teacher encouraged him to try it.
Father's prophecy

Xiao Fifty-three first sang songs to the main examination teacher, and then played folk songs such as "Han Xiuying" and "Gada Merlin" with a horse head and four hu.
Qi Baoligao: The regimental commander is happy.
