Reporter: From Tianshui in southeastern Gansu to Zhangye in Hexi, from "Bittersweet Village Official" in 2015 to "No One Can Be Less" this year, in the process of filming the play, what kind of impression did Gansu's customs and customs leave on you?

Bai Yongcheng: I love Gansu, I love my hometown, my mother is a Yongdeng person, I went out from Guliangzhou in the Hexi Corridor, no matter where I am, the imprint of my hometown is deeply engraved into my memory and integrated into my blood. Over the years, I have devoted myself to the creation of poverty alleviation and poverty alleviation themes, and have traveled all over the mountains and rivers of the motherland. The motherland is full of beautiful scenery, but the beauty of any place can not be compared with the yellow land that raised me, this is a landscape that always flows in the depths of the heart, because there are emotions in the heart, so she is beautiful.

Reporter: Through the filming of the two TV series before and after, what are the major changes in the rural landscape of Gansu in recent years?

Bai Yongcheng: When filming "Bittersweet Village Official" in Tianshui in 2015, the poverty alleviation work was still in the advanced stage, and many people in remote areas were still surviving in poor and bad habits, and I remember that I discussed with local leaders about the reform and promotion of rural "toilet culture", which was because we went to the village to shoot scenes without clean toilets. Actresses didn't dare to go to the bathroom all day long. But now it is different, the final stage of the decisive victory over the well-off, many places in the country from the ideological concept of change, such as the quick exhibition village I filmed, the scenery is picturesque, the family is a small western-style building, a small village on the Gobi Desert, every home is decorated with flowers beautiful, toilets needless to say, the public toilets in the village are the appearance of star hotels, neat and clean. Poverty alleviation precedes wisdom, and cultural poverty alleviation has been fully manifested here.

Reporter: On the road to poverty alleviation, "No One Can Be Less" helps to overcome poverty, as a director and a TV person, what role do you think film and television works should play in the process of poverty alleviation?

Bai Yongcheng: At this special time, in fact, I have never specifically confirmed the social role for myself, nor have I positioned my works, but I think that the Central Propaganda Department, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, and CCTV can not forget their original intentions at the special time of fighting the epidemic, vigorously grasp the task of poverty alleviation, and arrange for CCTV to broadcast "No One Can Be Less" in a prime time, which is to give us a role positioning. China's 1.4 billion people, whether it is fighting the epidemic or poverty alleviation, none of us can be less, and none of us can be left behind.

Reporter: During the filming process, from your circle of friends, I saw from time to time that all the cast members, especially a few old drama bones, paid a lot in and out of the play, is it convenient to talk about the touching stories in this regard?

Bai Yongcheng: There are too many touching scenes! The cast and crew were really bitter when filming poverty alleviation works, and I asked the play to have fireworks, and the actors should forget themselves after entering the play, and treat themselves as a local villager from the inside out. Among them, the male protagonists Huang Pinyuan and Zhao Jun deliberately blew the wind and the sun in order to get close to the plot and integrate into the play. One day, when I was filming a scene of a thousand people, the person in charge of a villager in the village did not recognize Huang Pinyuan at all, and reprimanded him on the spot: "What are you running around?" Don't hurry to get the box lunch yet. It was even more difficult to shoot the scene of the mudslide, mobilizing fire trucks every day for 7 consecutive days to pour "heavy rain", Zhao Jun and several other actors who were pressed in the mud were buried in the muddy water all night long, although it was early autumn, but Zhangye was also bitterly cold at night.

Reporter: Before and after the shooting, what are your different feelings about the city of Zhangye, and what are your good wishes for Zhangye and Gansu?

Bai Yongcheng: Zhangye is very familiar to me, I have been there many times when I was a child, so this time the filming is familiar. When I was a child, I really didn't know that Danxia was so beautiful, and now I look at it is really extraordinary, and there is Ice Gully Danxia, which is really better than Colorado in the United States. Or want to give my folks a little advice, our hometown is very beautiful, snacks are delicious, but we must not see only ourselves, people's hometown is also very beautiful, people's snacks are also very delicious, tolerance and broad to embrace the world.
