"Ten thousand questions" means that there are many inscriptions in the later generations of this rubbing.

The "remnants of the compilation to the long right" refers to the discovery of the original stone rubbings of the Dunhuang Ben "Huadu Temple Stele".

The phrase "Jiuyuan" said that if Weng Fanggang could come back to life and look at this rough rubbing.

"Qin Xi" Weng Fanggang's name, Weng Fanggang has adhered to the "Huadu Temple Stele" all his life, and has a special preference.

Let's first tell a small story of Ouyang Inquiry, Ouyang Inquiry was a famous calligrapher in the early Tang Dynasty, a tribute emissary from Korea, Li Shimin asked him after seeing him, what gift do you want to go back to ah (foreign tribute, we Tang will return the gift)? The messenger said that it would be good to get a calligraphy work by Ouyang Yuan. Tang Taizong laughed and said that he did not expect that Ouyang Qian's calligraphy reputation had spread to North Korea. However, if you have seen Ouyang Inquiry himself, it is estimated that you will not want the work. Because of historical records, Ouyang Qian's appearance was thin and ugly, because this matter was often ridiculed by courtiers. However, Ouyang Qian's calligraphy was recognized by all calligraphers at that time and in later generations.

Ouyang Quan's representative work is "Jiucheng Palace Liquan Ming", and the full name of the "Huadu Temple Stele" is "Huadu Temple's Former Monk Yong Zen Master Stupa Ming", which was written a year earlier than "Jiucheng Palace", and is also a representative work of Ouyang Que in his later years.

Song Tuoben's "Monument to Huadu Temple"

Weng Fanggang, a great calligrapher in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, was not only good at calligraphy, but also known for being good at appreciation, and was also a famous epigrapher, qin xi, so Mr. Qi Gong called him in this way, which is the traditional title habit.

In the self-annotation of this poem, Mr. Qi Gong explains in more detail the situation of the Huadu Temple Stele:

See Dunhuang Benhuadu Temple, Zen Master Ta Ming, is the knowledge of Weng Fang Gang Pingsheng examination, thinking that the fan's library is the real copy, all of them are engraved. Qin Xi saw that the Pagoda of Huadu Temple was many inscriptions, and its inscription was examined and written, which was regarded as a number of original stones, and there were photocopies in modern times.

In the twenty-second year of the Qing Dynasty (1896), Tang Tuoben was discovered in the Dunhuang Stone Chamber, and later it was taken abroad by the Frenchman Bo Xihe and stored in the Library of Paris in France and the Museum in London, England. The first one and two pages of the Dunhuang fragment are now in the National Library of Paris; the other ten pages are now in the British Museum in London. Twelve pages coexist 236 words.

Dunhuang Ben "Huadu Temple Stele"

After Mr. Qi Gong saw the photocopy of this expanded version, he believed that the real copy of the Fan's Library that Weng Fanggang had examined was originally a copy of the engraving. Speaking of Fan's Library, it is famous, that is, the oldest existing private library in China: Tianyi Pavilion. It is also the oldest existing library in Asia and one of the first three family libraries in the world. It has a rich collection of ancient books and gold stones.

Weng Fanggang because he likes the "Huadu Temple Stele", so he pays special attention to it, as soon as he says that there is one to investigate, he will leave an inscription when he encounters a good one, and after his inscription, there are several copies that are identified as rough stone extensions, and there are photocopies on the market.

Qi Gong self-note:

If Pan Ningba was originally a Qin Xi self-collection, the inscription is particularly numerous, and the fly head is thin, and there are thousands of people. The World Bank photocopied Qin Xi's hand self-hook copy, followed by zhu bao, all of which are the things in the Pan Bao ben, which are extracted for Liang Zhangju and attached to the hook facsimile. Taken together, Qin Xigai determined that a certain kind of engraving was true, that is, the real dragon was in front of him, and he did not know each other.

The old collection of the Ming Dynasty has a seal, which was received by the Jin Dynasty. Qin Xi carefully wrote in detail, thinking that Song had turned song Tuo. Compared with the Dunhuang ben, it is known as the original stone, which is now stored in the Shanghai Library. I wanted to see that day after Qin Xi's appraisal, it was judged to be a reproduction, so it was discarded and thrown, and I don't know how many. Quack doctors kill people, the world is easy to see, famous doctors kill people, people are difficult to know, and the wandering soul of the sick will not return.

Pan Ning was a collector in the early Qing Dynasty, and the "Huadu Temple Stele" with his inscription was later collected by Weng Fanggang himself, and there were many inscriptions in this tuoben, and the small characters of various inscriptions were almost thousands. The popular photocopied version of the world is the version that Weng Fanggang personally hooked, including the inscription attached to it, which is the stuff of the Pan's inscription, which was extracted by Liang Zhangju (a Qing collector) and then synthesized with the hook facsimile.

Mr. Qi Gong here jokes about Weng Fanggang, once it is determined that a certain engraving is true, even if the original stone takumoto is placed in front of his eyes, he will not recognize it.

Because, The Prince of Cheng( Prince Cheng) once collected an old collection of Ming Wangwei, and Weng Fanggang once made a detailed inscription in Small Kai, believing that this book was a reprint of the Song Dynasty. Now, if we use the Dunhuang original revision, I know that this book is also one of the original stone extensions.

Mr. Qi Gong thought that among the tibetan books that had been identified by Weng Fanggang, he did not know how many real books had been abandoned by mistakenly believing that they had been copied. Therefore, Mr. Qi lamented: If it is a quack doctor, because of poor medical skills, everyone has seen it; and the famous doctor kills people because of mistakes, everyone does not know, but the patient's wandering soul can no longer return.

In fact, this is a satire on Weng Fanggang, because he is a famous artist, and his misjudgment does not know how many excellent calligraphy extensions have been destroyed, which is like a famous doctor killing people, and everyone does not know the same.

Qi Gong Treatise Book Poem 10: Weng Fanggang stuck to the Huadu Temple stele all his life, but as a result, he could not distinguish the advantages and disadvantages of the stele

When writing this poem, Mr. Qi Gong was only in his twenties, and it was also because he saw such things a lot that Mr. Qi Gong was more cautious in his future calligraphy and painting appraisal work, and strived to study in many ways to avoid such mistakes.
