Zhang Boying not only had a profound cultural heritage, but also had the pride of a literati; in the face of the disputes between the corrupt warlords in the Qing Dynasty, he retreated to devote himself to literature and history and devoted himself to educating and compiling chronicles; when the Japanese invaded China, they firmly refused to hold false posts, and were born in a chaotic world and were alone, and they were all people with temperance.
Zhang Boying is the most accomplished in his work and is also good at sealing. The structure of the script is tight and informal, the font is regular and dignified, both square and round, both wide and majestic, compact and tight, and has a lot of strength. The line is simple and elegant, ancient and natural. Zhang Boying uses the pen to work together, perfectly, and wherever the dot painting goes, it is a very way to give in to each other. The pen is realistic, the words are full of energy, solemn and subtle, not muddy in the past, not flattering in the present, full of innovative spirit. With the pen, you can swing it at will, and the meaning is lofty.
Zhang Boying is said to be Qi Baishi's teacher, whether he really worshiped the teacher is unknown, only know that after Zhang Boying's death, Qi Baishi's elegy is a poem, and his poem is "Writing is as wonderful as a god, and the predecessor has a cause." Mr. Empty Sorrow goes, who will come and return? Among them, "the former has a cause" uses a sentence to explain the relationship between the two, and the other "who comes to restore whom" also says Qi Baishi's reverence for Zhang Boying.
But it is true that Zhang Boying is Mr. Qi Gong's teacher. Qi Gong once met Zhang Boying through Zhang Boying's son Zhang Yuci, and often asked Zhang Boying for advice. Man will grow old and will be very easy to remember.
In 2001, the 90-year-old Qi Gong suddenly wrote an article recalling Zhang Boying, saying: "Mr. Xian has been dead for more than 50 years, recalling the teachings, especially understanding is not enough, its stupidity can be ashamed, and the lack of teaching, the lack of prostrations can be deeply regretted!" It can be seen that Mr. Qi Gong's words express the teaching feelings between teachers and students. In 2004, Mr. Qi Gong also inscribed the name of the museum for the "Zhang Boying Memorial Hall" in Xuzhou.
After Zhang Boying died in January 1949, he was buried at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain in Beijing, and was buried in Jinshan Cemetery in 1992, with a stele engraved with verses from Master Qi Baishi mourning Zhang Boying. Coincidentally, in 2013, Master Qi Baishi moved his soul and also moved the cemetery to Jinshan Cemetery, and the two teachers and students met in Wan'an Mountain this time, which also verified the sentence "The predecessor has a cause" in the master's poem!
After Zhang Boying's death, Qi Baishi once had a cloud of poetry praise: "Writing is as wonderful as a god, there are causes in previous lives, Mr. Empty Sorrow goes, and who comes again." "This shows the depth of his calligraphy." Influence and present, after learning even more, Qi Gong wrote an article recalling Zhang Boying wrote: "Mr. Xian has been dead for more than 50 years, recalling the teachings, especially the understanding is not enough, its stupidity can be ashamed, and the lack of teaching, the lack of prostrations can be deeply regretted." It can be seen that there is no shortage of people who have obtained its true essence and summarized, synthesized, and sublimated its characteristics. Founded the "Pengcheng Book School".
