To answer this question, we might as well understand three sentences.

Human beings understand everything that happened in the past through reason, that is to say, they must have an account of what happened and how it happened.
The first step in living in the 21st century and in this world is to figure out how the whole of humanity, our Chinese, got to this point.
This is certainly not academic research, and it doesn't require you to go into it, but you need to have a basic clue as to how everything in the past came about;
Then you can properly understand everything you have now and everything that will come in the future; so you can adjust yourself to what attitude you have to face.
Take myself as an example.
One year, I accepted an invitation to give four lectures to a foundation in six months.
Since I agreed to the invitation, I have been stressed in my heart, and I have not slept very soundly, although I still have half a year, but I often think about it.
At that time, although I had a lot of experience in school, after all, I was not the same as giving lectures in front of the public, so it was inevitable that I would be under pressure in advance and always thinking about how to talk well.
In addition to that, there are some other factors.
For example, I have to take a taxi to the lecture hall, and it is sometimes difficult to call a taxi in Taipei.
On the day I was going to speak, I was worried from the moment I went out:
Is it called to get a car? Is there any traffic jam on the road? Will it arrive on time? Various situations are of concern.
Until the day of the last speech, when I went out in the morning, I was suddenly in a cheerful mood and suddenly realized.
Why?
I thought, since anxiety must be there, why can't you live with anxiety?
Make anxiety a part of your life so that anxiety is no longer a stress.
Knowing your environment, you can tolerate everything.
Taipei's traffic is like this, you have to go anywhere, go early!
As for whether the end is punctual, honestly speaking, it is not something you can fully grasp yourself, so you don't have to worry.
Knowing everything will tolerate everything, and then you will not struggle in an inevitable, irreversible dilemma, and you will not struggle pointlessly.
Life is precious, time is limited, and you manage to understand everything with reason and then accept some fait accompli.
In such a state of mind, you will feel that there is boredom and anxiety in life, "Good! I live with it, and it can't threaten me. ”
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="136" >2 The purpose of acceptance is to transcend</h1>
The second sentence: "Man's character is his destiny." ”
This sentence was said by the ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus, who is undoubtedly one of the best philosophers when it comes to the question of fate.
I give the graduates of NTU an inscription, often inscribing this sentence, but there is still the second half of the sentence, which is my personal experience: "To change your destiny, you must change your personality." ”
Some people will say that the country is easy to change, the nature is difficult to move, can people's personality be changed?
In fact, people's personality includes two aspects: sexual orientation and style: sexual orientation is innate, and style is cultivated.
Most typically, education is the cultivation of style. In the process of being educated, a person will slowly change his style.
To live in the world and accept destiny is to transcend fate and understand it in this sense, rather than simply passively accepting fate.
How to go beyond it?
You can transcend your destiny through the understanding of character.
For example, many people feel that their fate is not good, in fact, his personality is not good, so he interacts with people, things, and things around him, and receives negative feedback;
And some people say that my life is really good, but you don't ignore it, that is his good character, he can take some suffering and ups and downs as happiness.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="137" >3 The truth learned in eating and dressing</h1>
Yan Yuan "eats, drinks, in the dark alley, people are overwhelmed", others are very sad, feel that they can't live anymore, "go back and don't change their happiness", Yan Yuan still lives very happily.
This kind of person is really remarkable, and he is a very admirable one among Confucius's students.
Another one who deserves our respect is the sub-road.
Confucius said of Zilu: "He who is clothed in robes and foxes stands, but he who is not ashamed, his origin is also related to the same." ”
Confucius said that standing with those who wear tattered clothes and wear very beautiful furs without any shame is Zilu.
The two students of Confucius had such a performance, which we really admired when we read the Analects.
Everyone needs to eat and get dressed, but can these external virtues be used as a criterion for judging a person?
External conditions may not necessarily conform to people's wishes, what we can change is our own style.
Through learning, let your style change, your personality will change, your encounters will change, and your whole destiny will change.
Only in this way can we transcend the limits of fate.

For the future, there is a wonderful analogy:
Each of us, as if on the shore waiting for our ship to return, looks forward to the future.
Every day I look at the sea and hope that my ship will come back, but you have to drive the boat out before the boat comes back.
Many people have not sailed out of their own boats in their whole lives, but they are waiting over there for the ship to come back, which is impossible.
What does it mean for the boat to go out and come back?
Go out on behalf of your ideals and return to your real world.
We should not be afraid to put forward our ideals and then strive for it, but you must work hard to start and bravely surpass everything you have set.
Don't limit yourself first, don't make excuses for yourself not daring to, play your full potential, and do it first.
I have repeatedly shared with you that my own nine years of stuttering when I was a child, the taste of being ridiculed, and the feeling of inferiority in my heart are difficult for normal people to imagine.
Who would have thought that one day I would give a speech in front of countless students in the audience and in front of the public?
Therefore, the past may be very bumpy and unpleasant, but the pain of the past may become the happiness of today, and the key lies in yourself.
In the same way, how do you know that the various trials you endure today will not become a pleasure in the future?
Therefore, after understanding the above three sentences, and then looking at your own life, whether you are in youth, middle age or old age, you can get your own answers.
