Recently, under the careful guidance of the Safety Committee of the Xichang Office, the safety officers of Regang Village, the women's federation volunteers, grid members, youth volunteers and Yanshou Primary School jointly held a unique earthquake prevention and disaster reduction safety drill, aiming to improve the emergency response ability of teachers and students and enhance their awareness of safety protection. This event fully reflects the great importance we attach to life safety and our positive attitude towards disaster prevention and mitigation.
At three o'clock in the afternoon of the same day, the event officially kicked off under the hot sun. The safety officers of Regang Village in the Development Zone, the women volunteers, the staff and students of Yanshou Primary School participated together to ensure the smooth progress of the drill. Cui Huaisheng, safety officer of Regang Village, first explained the basic knowledge and coping strategies of the earthquake to the teachers and students, and emphasized the importance of staying calm and responding quickly in the face of disasters.
Then, the actual combat drill session began. Under the guidance of the teacher, the students left the classroom quickly and orderly according to the pre-set evacuation route and arrived at the designated safe area. The whole process was tense and orderly, which fully demonstrated everyone's good sense of disaster prevention and teamwork ability.
After the drill, Xu Chunhua, principal of Yanshou Primary School, summarized the activity, emphasized the long-term and necessity of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction education, and encouraged teachers and students to apply the knowledge they have learned to daily life and improve their self-protection ability.
This joint exercise not only improved the safety skills of the students, but also gave teachers and students a deeper understanding of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction. In the future, Regang Village in the Development Zone will work more closely with Yanshou Primary School to carry out similar drills on a regular basis, providing a solid line of defense to ensure the safety of students.
