In order to further popularize the knowledge of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, effectively enhance the awareness of disaster avoidance and disaster reduction and the ability of self-rescue and mutual rescue of teachers and students in the school, master the correct methods of emergency evacuation, and be familiar with the procedures and routes of emergency evacuation after the earthquake, on May 10, Shanghecheng Primary School organized an emergency evacuation drill for earthquake prevention and disaster reduction.
Before the drill, the school formulated a detailed plan and a specific escape and evacuation drill route. Each class has conscientiously carried out safety education related to risk avoidance and disaster reduction, popularized earthquake prevention and fire safety knowledge, and let students understand the hazards of earthquakes and fires and the knowledge of risk avoidance.
As the first alarm sounded, the class teachers organized the students to hide under their desks and chairs. The second alarm sounded, and each class teacher organized the students to evacuate to a safe place quickly and orderly according to the predetermined evacuation route, and then each class immediately counted the number of students.
After the drill, Cheng Xiayan of the Safety Department summarized the drill activities, and Director Cheng affirmed the urgency, stability and orderliness of the students during the drill, and emphasized the importance and necessity of carrying out earthquake prevention and disaster reduction emergency drills.
The development of this activity publicized the knowledge of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, improved the awareness of earthquake safety of teachers and students, and further improved the ability of teachers and students to avoid emergencies and self-rescue and mutual rescue.
