In the enterprise exhibition area of this year's China Brand Day event, the first urban C-type train in China developed by CRRC Changchun Bus Co., Ltd. was unveiled at the CRRC booth.
As an important passenger equipment that will operate on the Shanghai Airport Liaison Line, the train has attracted wide attention from Shanghai citizens. The maximum running speed of the train is 160km/h, which has the four characteristics of intelligent and advanced, safe and comfortable, bus-oriented operation and high appearance. The train has created a number of domestic firsts, realized the perfect combination of high-speed rail technology and urban rail transit operation mode, and has broad application prospects in the Yangtze River Delta and even the national urban railway project.
The design of the train is integrated with Shanghai's characteristic elements, and the vehicles adopt a blue flexible curve appearance with gold accents, like a bend of the river passing through the city, showing the characteristics of Shanghai. The front of the car is designed with a large streamlined silhouette and diamond-shaped headlights, like a radiant dragon rising across the river, highlighting the vitality of the city.
On December 1, 2023, the Shanghai Regional Railway Airport Liaison Line train rolled off the assembly line at CRRC Changbus, and then achieved complete success in the field test. During the test, the train control system operated stably, and the ATO automatic turnback function could meet the requirements of the whole line operation interval, marking a technological breakthrough and innovation in realizing the high-density operation of public transportation in the urban railway.
