On the occasion of the 113th International Nurses Day, in order to inherit the spirit of Nightingale, carry forward the professional spirit of "respecting life, saving lives, dedication, and boundless love", and let "love, patience, carefulness, and responsibility" be passed on from generation to generation, recently, Xicheng District held the 2024 International Nurses Day celebration to commend the outstanding nursing projects in Xicheng District and the winners of the Xicheng District Nurse Nursing Skills Competition, and extend holiday greetings to the angels in white on the nursing front of the district, and Song Mei, deputy head of the district, attended the event.
In April 2024, the Xicheng District Health Commission organized the 2023-2024 Xicheng District Excellent Nursing Project Selection Activity, and selected Peking University First Hospital, Peking University People's Hospital, Fuwai Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, Beijing Friendship Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, Beijing Children's Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, Peking Union Medical College Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (Xidan Campus), Fuxing Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, Beijing Huimin Hospital, Beijing Anorectal Hospital and Desheng Community Health Service Center, a total of 18 annual excellent projects of 12 medical institutions.
At the same time, in 2024, the Xicheng District Health Commission, the District Federation of Trade Unions, and the District Red Cross Society jointly organized the "Bravely Climbing the Nursing Peak and Striving for First-class Service" Nurse Nursing Skills Competition, 4328 nurses from 44 medical institutions in the district (resident hospitals, district hospitals, community health service centers and for-profit medical institutions) participated in the preliminary screening, and finally after fierce competition, 21 nurses from 17 medical institutions won the first, second and third prizes respectively. During the event, the participating leaders presented awards to 18 outstanding nursing projects and 21 winners of the nurse nursing skills competition.
Subsequently, Luo Jinkai, director of the Nursing Department of Beijing Friendship Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, issued an initiative on behalf of the nurses in Xicheng District: advocating that all nurses should actively implement the "Nurse Regulations", do a good job in team self-improvement, continuously extend and enrich the connotation of nursing services, make full use of new media and new technology, provide a variety of nursing and health support for the people, provide better nursing services for patients and people throughout the life cycle, and make every effort to promote the high-quality development of nursing.
Cao Peiye, head nurse of Peking University People's Hospital, and Liu Yu, nurse of Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, respectively represented the award project team and the award-winning contestants to exchange experience and share their professional insights. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation scene display, song duet "Little Happiness", poetry recitation "Meet the Light", sitcom "Red Envelope Farce", poetry recitation "Light of Life", dance "Beauty Walk", ...... In the program performance, the nurses of 6 medical institutions in Xicheng District performed wonderful programs one after another, fully showing the lively and lovely and versatile side of the nurses, as well as their enthusiasm for the profession.
In recent years, the nursing industry in Xicheng District has made great progress with the joint efforts of all medical staff, and the nursing staff has fulfilled their oath with a resolute work attitude, maintained health with excellent professional skills, and patiently understood patients with sincere love, making important contributions to improving the construction level of "Healthy Xicheng" and promoting the high-quality development of "Happy Xicheng". Next, the Xicheng District Health Commission will join hands with the medical institutions in the district to lead all the nursing workers to closely focus on the Chinese-style modernization of Xicheng to practice the "2-1-1-5-2" framework system, focus on the development of new quality productivity, ensure the nursing work in the district, continuously promote the high-quality development of the nursing industry, create a good working atmosphere that supports nursing and cares for the nursing team, and allows nursing workers to truly have a sense of gain, happiness and belonging.
