However, after the Chinese side later released the evidence, the Philippine side was immediately furious, and the Philippine defense minister even threatened to expel the Chinese diplomats, to which the mainland also gave a strong response.
Recently, the Philippines has been very active in the South China Sea with the United States, and large-scale military exercises have been carried out in full swing, and even sank ships made by the Chinese side for the Philippines before.
Subsequently, according to a report by the global network, the Philippine defense secretary and the national security adviser respectively said that they denied that China and the Philippines had reached a "new model" agreement on the Ren'ai Jiao issue.
You must know that this is not the first time that the Philippine side has done such a thing, and not long ago, the other side flatly denied the "gentlemen's agreement" reached with China.
It can be said that the credibility of the Philippines has been reduced to an extreme, and it has repeatedly reneged on the agreements made with the mainland and seriously provoked the mainland in the South China Sea.
However, the Philippine side may not have expected that this time the mainland would come up with corresponding evidence, according to a report by the global network, Lin Jian, spokesman for the mainland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made a statement on the matter at a regular press conference on May 6.
First of all, the first point is that at the end of 2021, after close communication, the mainland and the Philippines reached a "gentlemen's agreement", but the Philippine side will no longer abide by it in February 2023.
Secondly, in September 2023, our country invited the Special Envoy of the President of the Philippines to China for talks, and the two sides reached an internal understanding based on the issue of Ren'ai Jiao.
After the two countries completed the discussions, the Philippine side also complied with the relevant agreement, but only once, and then the understanding agreement was abandoned by the Philippine side again.
The last time was at the beginning of this year, after repeated discussions between our country and the Philippine side, we finally reached a "new model" for the transportation and replenishment of Ren'ai Jiao.
The entire Philippine leadership chain of command, including the Philippine defense secretary and the national security adviser, agreed to the "new model", but this model was once again abandoned by the Philippines on February 1 this year.
It can also be seen from the above situation that the Philippine side has violated its commitments and agreements with the mainland every time, and such behavior has seriously affected the stability of the situation in the South China Sea.
It is important to know that the most important thing between the two countries is to build trust with each other, and only when both sides are trustworthy can the two countries avoid conflict and coexist peacefully.
Therefore, the mainland resolutely opposes such an act by the Philippines and urges the Philippines to abide by the basic norms governing international exchanges, refrain from violating its commitments, and stop provoking the mainland.
It can be said that the mainland has tolerated enough of what the Philippines has done on the South China Sea issue, but the Philippines still insists on provoking the mainland.
Even after gaining confidence from the United States, the Philippines openly stated that if Philippine soldiers were sacrificed due to external forces, it would directly quote the "US-Philippines Mutual Defense Treaty."

But what people didn't expect was that the mainland's response this time turned out to be that the Philippine side was angry and made even more excessive behavior.
According to the latest news released by the political affairs, Philippine officials have gone so far as to openly say that they will expel mainland diplomats in the Philippines.
This kind of behavior can be said to be very serious, you must know that after two countries establish diplomacy, they will send diplomats to each other's countries.
Therefore, diplomats are equivalent to the representatives of a country to the outside world, and the Philippine expulsion of mainland diplomats will cause very serious consequences.

Therefore, the mainland has also given a warning to the Philippine side, demanding that the Philippine side earnestly ensure that Chinese diplomats perform their duties normally, stop continuing to commit tortious and provocative acts, and refrain from denying the facts, let alone acting rashly, otherwise they will be shooting themselves in the foot.
