The Ministry of Water Resources announced the list of persons responsible for the management of sand mining in the Yangtze River in 2024

The Regulations on the Management of Sand Mining in the Yangtze River stipulate that the management of sand mining in the Yangtze River shall be subject to the responsibility system of the chief executive of the local people's government, and the local people's governments at or above the county level along the Yangtze River shall strengthen the management of sand mining activities in the Yangtze River within their respective administrative areas, and do a good job in the organization, coordination, supervision and inspection of sand mining in the Yangtze River.

In order to promote the management of sand mining in the Yangtze River and effectively implement the responsibility system for the management of sand mining in the Yangtze River, all localities along the Yangtze River have determined the list of river chiefs, people's governments, water administrative departments, on-site supervision and administrative law enforcement responsible persons at all levels for sand mining management in 2024, which is hereby announced.
