On April 18, 2024, Zhang Yushan, a second-level inspector of the Water Diversion Department of the Ministry of Water Resources, led a team to Pingshun County to conduct research on the utilization of water resources and water ecological restoration of the Zhanghe River. Huang Guozhen, deputy mayor of Changzhi City, and Duan Yanfei, deputy county magistrate of Pingshun County, accompanied the investigation.
During the investigation, Zhang Yushan successively went to the Hongqi Canal in Shicheng Town, the Chibi Hydropower Station and the Shantou Hydropower Station in Beitanche Township, listened to the report, watched the scene, asked questions, and had in-depth exchanges, so as to learn more about the ecological flow guarantee, water resource utilization, protection and development, etc. It is emphasized that it is necessary to fully implement the long-term system of rivers and lakes, strengthen the coordinated management and overall promotion of water resources, water ecology and water environment, and comprehensively improve the safety of flood control, water supply and ecological security.
