It is understood that the Shakou Water Conservancy Hub Station is the largest water conservancy project on the Foshan Embankment, which has the functions of flood control, ecological water replenishment, drinking water source protection, etc., guarding five towns and streets in Chancheng and Nanhai districts, benefiting nearly 3 million people. In order to cope with the recent heavy rainfall and strong convective weather and eliminate potential safety hazards, the Shakou flood control and rescue team members have increased the frequency of inspections of river embankments, and they must be particularly careful in the process of inspection. "The waterfront slope depends on whether there are ant hills, rat holes, snake holes, etc., as well as cracks when the water recedes. On the backwater slope, we have to search for signs of water seepage, and we conduct group inspections 24 hours a day. Pan Yongzhou, a member of the Shakou flood control and rescue team, said.
