Liu Yongjie, a native of Chang'an, Shaanxi. Graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, Master of Arts, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the Chinese Painting Department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, Director of Liu Yongjie Studio of the former Chinese Painting Department, member of the Chinese Artists Association, member of the Chinese Mural Painting Society, former vice chairman of the Fourth Shaanxi Artists Association, researcher of the China National Academy of Painting, and researcher of the Chinese Painting Institute of the National Association for the Promotion of Culture and Art.
Artistic achievements: In 1984, his work "Chinese New Year" won the Outstanding Works Award of the 6th National Art Exhibition and was collected by the National Art Museum of China. "Silk Road Style" (collaborative work) won the gold medal of the 7th National Art Exhibition in 1989. In 1992, "Ancient City of the Silk Road" won the bronze medal of the first Maple Leaf Award of the Canadian Association for the Study of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy. In 1994, "Golden Autumn in Guanzhong" won the third prize of the 3rd Chinese Contemporary Gongbi Painting Exhibition. "The Man in Guanzhong" was selected for the 8th National Art Exhibition. "Liangshan Autumn" won the bronze medal at the National Chinese Portrait Painting Exhibition in 1997. In 2001, "Golden Wind" won the "Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Party" National Art Exhibition Excellence Award. "Thick Land" was selected for the 9th National Art Exhibition. In 2004, "The Silk Road of the Tang Dynasty" (large-scale Gongbi heavy color mural and collaborative work) won the Excellence Award of the First National Mural Exhibition and was selected for the 10th National Art Exhibition. "The Prosperous Picture of the Tang Dynasty" (relief mural and collaborative work) was selected for the 10th National Art Exhibition. In 2004, "Fiery Land" (Gongbi Painting) was selected for the 10th National Art Exhibition and was collected by Zhejiang Art Museum. In 2005, "The Two Families Who Collected the Tatters" (freehand painting) was selected for the 3rd National Academy of Painting Excellent Works Exhibition. "Suidehan" (freehand painting) was selected for the 12th National Art Exhibition in 2014.
In 2015, he won the Excellence Award of the 2nd Shaanxi Fine Arts Award (Creation Award).
In 1997, he was awarded the special government allowance of "Outstanding Contribution to Culture and Art Education" by the State Council.

"Collecting the Broken Couple" (freehand brushwork) was selected for the 3rd National Academy of Fine Arts Excellent Works Exhibition in 2005. "Suide Han" (freehand brushwork) was selected for the 12th National Art Exhibition in 2014.
In 2015, won the Excellent Award at the 2nd Shaanxi Art Award (Creation Award).
