According to the signatures and seals, it is known that the book has been collected by Guilin painter Li Jishou (second star), Li Ruiqing's younger brother Li Ruiquan (Yunxi), pediatric leader Xu Fang (Xiaopu), Shanghai lawyer Zhang Zhengxue (Changbo), painter Wu Zhiqiu and his son Wu Qingmen have been appraised one after another, and it is now released for the first time by Wu's descendants.
2. It is a book with a Koluo edition, the specific publication information is unknown, only see the cover title "Golden Winter Heart Flowers and Fruits", signed "West Lake Yilan". According to the information, the inscription should be written by Dong Xiangxiang (?-1936, a clear incense) female writer and calligrapher in the late Qing Dynasty. His original name was Kang, with the word line, alias West Lake Yilan, a native of Hangzhou, Zhejiang. At that time, there were many Koluo books and calligraphy albums with their titles, such as the "Shen Shitian Lingyin Mountain Picture Scroll" (Liu Rong Collection) published by the Civilization Book Company in 1922.
Such privately printed albums were not uncommon in Shanghai at that time. This volume has neither Zhang Zhengxue's collection seal nor Wu Changshuo's inscription, so it should have been published before 1926, and according to the printing technology, it was printed in an earlier Koluo edition.
3. Directly from Wu Zhiqiu's descendants.
Wu Zhiqiu (1878-1949), a famous man, was a native of Chongde (now Tongxiang), Zhejiang. The second son of Wu Tao, a painter in the Qing Dynasty, lived in Shanghai. He is quite talented and has the reputation of "prodigy". He is also an important collector in modern times, and his private residence in Suzhou Remnant Garden has a collection of many fine paintings and calligraphy of the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties inherited from Li Jiafu, Wu Botao and his own life. After Wu waited for the autumn death, the collection was divided into three parts, and this volume belonged to the collection of his youngest son Wu Qingmen.
Wu Qingmen (1927-2019), Mingwei. Mechanical, thermodynamics specialist. Inherited from the family at an early age, and visited the family to collect famous paintings. The landscapes and flowers are wonderful, the poems are fine, and the calligraphy is also good. After graduating from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Jiaotong University in 1948, he successively served as the chief engineer of the Design Office of East China Electric Power Administration, the deputy chief engineer of the Design Institute of Shanghai Petrochemical General Plant, and the consultant of Huaneng Group. He was a member of the Suzhou CPPCC.
4. According to the descendants of Qingmen, this volume was copied and stored in the Shanghai Museum during the special period, and the red signature of "City Text" is still retained on the cover. In 1987, the 8th seal of "Chinese Calligraphers and Painters' Seals and Knowledge: Jin Nong" compiled by the Shanghai Museum was taken from this volume.

After the implementation of the policy, this volume and other collections, such as Xu Wei's "Ink Flower Scroll" (sold for 46 million yuan in the spring of 2021) and Shi Tao's "Lotus Picture" (sold for 13.8 million yuan in the autumn of 2019), were returned home and treasured by his descendants to this day.
The word "knowledge" is Jin Nong's "endowment and seclusion, less delay in the joy of taste" and "love for the ancient" character attached to the gift, it is these elements mixed together temperament throughout everything under his pen, whether poetry, calligraphy or painting, there is a kind of seemingly natural and interesting, effortless surprise.
Written in 1756, the Album of Vegetables and Fruits in Ink and Wash was written in the 21st year of Qianlong's reign, which is a representative work of Jin Nong, who used the vegetable soup in the monk's kitchen to "depict those extremely shallow and accessible scenery with the purest techniques". The objects it depicts are oranges, loquats, lychees, spring bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, eggplants, lotus pods, lotus root slices, watermelons, gourds, pomegranates, papayas, radish, taro, peas, and Ganoderma lucidum. And "each piece is a small poem, or a few words, full of humor, in short, there is no ordinary language", at first glance it is his kind of work that he cherishes.
The first opening of the album is three freshly picked oranges, the branches and leaves are still there, the fruit shape is full, and the three oranges appear fresh and round in the delicate and subtle brushstrokes and ink color changes.
(1) Overlapping three elements. History of Qujiang Wai.
The second opening is a bundle of spring bamboo shoots lightly dyed by the boneless method, and the young shoots at the tips of the bamboo shoots are slightly more heavily depicted, and the whole is inclined to the left, while in the silence, the heavy ink ropes at the bottom suddenly fly to the right like cursive.

The third and fourth lychees and loquat fruits are either dyed with the tip of the pen or formed with the center of the empty hook, and the dense branches and leaves show the vitality of summer; there are also water chestnuts, lotus pods, and lotus root slices that are like gold, and the condensed imagery and restrained pen and ink set off a large blank space of nothingness, and the sense of tranquility and peace in it is pure and clean to the point that it cannot be added.

As for the six gourds in "A Pot of Gold", their modern composition is very reminiscent of the six persimmons of the Song Dynasty monk Muxi, or the bottles and jars painted by Morandi, nearly 300 years later, we will still be shocked by the spiritual aesthetics presented by the extreme formalism in the painting. It can be said that between realism and freehand, between elegance and wildness, between tradition and modernity, Jin Nong easily found a way of harmony with his high feelings, and there was no deliberate depiction in his pen, nor any fierce expression, everything under the loose brush and ink is a sense of relaxation, everything is a real and true interest in life.

Although the picture does not have a touch of color, the layers of ink color are constantly changing in the blend of water and ink, giving full play to the charm of "five colors of ink", revealing fresh vitality in the city.

In terms of composition, they either take the left and right, or pitch up and down, or isolate the center, or place it in a corner, and some simply leave a large area blank, all relying on inscription calligraphy to achieve the balance of the picture. Among them, the collocation of points, lines, and surfaces, as well as the contrast and echo of the layers of ink color blocks, always show a very different treatment from the traditional treatment method, while the white lines of lotus root, eggplant, gourd, and papaya rise and fall seem slow and orderly, like calligraphy but not calligraphy, which is completely the unique rhythm of Jin Nong.
(6) "Youyang Miscellaneous" cloud: White eggplant is grown in Silla, and there are in the monastery of Ximing Temple. Song Huang Luzhi's "Song of Silver Eggplant Poems" has "Junjia water eggplant white silver, special suburbs purple Pahang." Reading Jin Nong's paintings must be accompanied by his inscription text in order to fully appreciate the fun. The poems and texts inscribed in this volume are all written in their representative "lacquer books", or only two or three words, or inscription poems, or inscription notes, or inscription long and short sentences, or inscriptions from songs, and most of their contents are found in "Mr. Dongxin's Miscellaneous Painting Inscriptions", indicating that these are Jin Nong's own more proud literary works.

Jin Nong's pursuit of the joy of life is estimated to be related to eating. The title radish "mountain radish, the taste of cutting jade is the clearest." This set of albums, whether it is intended or formed, can be regarded as the work of Jin Nong's intentions, which can also be inferred from the payment of the change method. A total of nine different font sizes were used in the sixteen paintings: Qujiang Foreign History, Jiliu Mountain People, Seventy Lao Ding, Former Evil Monks, Shoumen, Jin Twenty-six Lang, One Hundred and Two Yantian Rich Lords, Longsuo Old Guest, and Heart Monk Monks, almost all of which were most commonly used by him; This location information also appears in the self-portrait of Jin Nong in the collection of the Palace Museum, which is inscribed with the title "On the sixth day of June in the 24th year of Qianlong, Jin Nong recorded the Nine Sections of the Calamus Pavilion in the Guangling Monk's House", which shows that the "Nine Sections of the Calamus Rest Hall" is Jin Nong's room in the temple. Kao Jinnong annals, the temple where he stayed in the autumn of the twenty-first year of Qianlong (1756) was the Western Temple of Yangzhou, so it means that he lived here for three or four years after that, and the "Nine Sections of Calamus Rest Hall" was among them.

Such an album must be extraordinary. The cover signature and the back sign are written by Wu Changshuo at the age of 83, the above paragraph is "Xiaopu", and there are three signatures of different periods on the title page. Two of the three signatures on the title page are inscribed by "Yun Xu", and one is inscribed by Wang Fu'an, and it can be seen from the signature inscribed by the "Yun Xu" in the middle that this volume was originally in the old collection of Li Cixing in Guilin.

Li Cixing is Li Jishou (1815-1896), the word Jichun, the second star, the old man of Wansong, the owner of the plum blossom pavilion, he is a famous painter in the Qing Dynasty, has the reputation of "plum blossom holy hand". His father, Li Xiyuan (1780-1869), is known in history as a fine identification and rich collector, and in his later years, he hid in Chongshan to entertain himself with poetry and painting.
In the thirtieth year of Guangxu (1904), after Li Cixing's death, the album was included in Li Ruiqing's third brother Li Ruiqi's "Retreat Valley Thin Ben Lan Tingzhai". Li Ruiqi (1871-1941), Zihengzhong, known as Yuhua and Yun'an, was a native of Linchuan. Good calligraphy, fine appreciation, calligraphy and painting inscription collection is very rich, has been hired by the end of the party for its ancient calligraphy and painting collection palm, and good at copying ancient calligraphy and painting, Zhang Da thousand years of youth also learned from it, called "three teachers". From the two signatures inscribed by Li Ruiqi, it can be seen that this set of albums was reframed in 1905, the 31st year of Guangxu (1905), the year after it was collected by him, and then reloaded again in 1918, the seventh year of the Republic of China.
1. Li Ruiquan (1871-1941) Title: Sixteen paintings of Jin Shoumen, the former collection of Mr. Li Cixing in Guilin. Guangxu Jiachen (1904) returned to Yu Retreat Valley in March. The third sign is inscribed by Wang Fu'an of Jiashen (1944) in the 33rd year of the Republic of China, and the signature says that this album was taken out by Wu Zhiqiu for his appreciation, but judging from the several collection seals in the book, there were two important collectors before and after Wu Zhiqiu.
The three seals of "Zhengxue Changle", "Changbo Heart Reward" and "Changbo Zhen Play" are Zhang Zhengxue's seals. Zhang Zhengxue (1897-1986), the word Changbo, a native of Haining, Zhejiang, Gong Huashi, Xi Collection, You Xi Jinnong and other "Yangzhou Eight Strange" works, for the thirties and forties of the last century, Shanghai collectors, and Wu Hufan, Zhang Congyu, Wang Jiqian and others have many contacts. The "Golden Farmer Character Book" and "Golden Farmer Miscellaneous Flower Book" in the Forbidden City in Beijing are all his old collections.
Xu Xiaopu (1887-1959), Mingfang, Zhai Wuyun Shuangxing Yanzhai, a native of Baoshan, Shanghai, was a famous Chinese medicine master in Shanghai during the Republic of China, and was also a collection of calligraphy and painting connoisseurs. Wu Changshuo's signature and inscription were made for Xu Xiaopu.
Wu Changshuo's question: Zen porridge and rice in front of the lamp, the dragon and snake at the bottom of the Tianyou pen. Vegetables and fruits are the most suitable for the Buddha, and there is no need to worry about the catastrophe and sand. The pen is spotless, the poetry can be held for half a while, and I want to see the wind and dew, and I am slow to smile. In the past, the evil monks wrote about vegetables and fruits, and God was in it, and he was the first to raise his head to the sky. It is not the same artistic conception of its mountains, stones, plums and bamboos, which is deeper than the study of gold and stone, accompanied by the atmosphere of poetry and books, which can be unique.
