On May 1, Xiangshan Park held a grand launching ceremony of "Labor Education Month" in Shuangqing Villa. The red culture missionaries of the park led more than 30 student representatives from the No. 4 Experimental Primary School in Haidian District, Beijing, to carry out a vivid labor education class.

At the launching ceremony, Jia Li, a representative of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and a red culture missionary in Xiangshan Park, told about her experience of studying hard and practicing hard, growing from an ordinary docent to an excellent docent and an advanced worker in Beijing, and guiding young people to grow up through practice, empower them with labor, and strive to become good young people in the new era who have ideals, dare to take responsibility, can endure hardships, and are willing to struggle. Afterwards, the park's horticultural engineer told the students the red story about the love of labor and carried forward the red tradition. Subsequently, in the small vegetable garden of Shuangqing Villa, the students experienced the process of vegetable planting.

"For the first time, I planted vegetables by myself, from hoeing and digging pits, to sowing, fertilizing, watering...... It takes several steps, and in a short time I am already sweating profusely. In this process, I deeply realized the difficulty of the farmer's uncle, today's class, and what I learned in the books is different, we learn the red culture in labor, and use our own labor to spread the revolutionary spirit......" Zhang Sitian, who was hired as a small lecturer in the research classroom by the park, described his harvest and perception after participating in the activity.
On May 1, the students of the No. 4 Experimental Primary School in Haidian District, Beijing experienced vegetable planting and practiced the meaning of labor with practical actions.
With the theme of "Cultivating the Heart of Labor and Empowering Growth, I Stand on the Guard for the Old Revolutionary Site", the Labor Education Month will also recruit volunteers from the society for the first time. On the eve of "May Day", the park released recruitment information through the official WeChat public account, and will recruit volunteers who meet the requirements to participate in the volunteer service work of the old revolutionary sites such as Shuangqing Villa from May 2nd to May 5th, so as to stand a good post for the old revolutionary sites and spend a meaningful Labor Day. It is reported that on the day the recruitment information was released, all the places were full.
On May 1, Xiangshan Park wore the ribbon of "I stand guard for the old revolutionary site" for the student representatives.
