On April 23, Shao Zheng, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Yemen, met with Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed, Minister of Petroleum and Mines Al-Samahi, Deputy Minister of Public Works and Roads Sabit and other senior officials in Aden, Yemen, and conducted in-depth exchanges on China-Yemen relations, Yemen and the regional situation.
Chargé d'affaires Shao Zheng gave a detailed briefing on China's aid to Yemen's medical supplies, stressing that China attaches great importance to developing friendly and cooperative relations with Yemen, and hopes that a breakthrough will be made in the Yemeni peace process as soon as possible and that the Yemeni people will enjoy peace at an early date.
The Prime Minister of Yemen and other senior officials highly appreciated and sincerely thanked China for its selfless assistance, fully affirmed China's foreign policy and objective and fair position on the Yemen issue, and hoped that China and China would continue to expand the scope of cooperation and benefit the two peoples.
