According to forestry experts, Xingtianniu belongs to the family Coleoptera, which is a kind of dry-boring pest, commonly known as "sawing tree". It eats miscellaneous and can harm more than 100 kinds of plants, such as two-ball plane tree (French plane tree), weeping willow, American red maple and other plants. The larvae of the star beetle eat the trunk and branches, causing the tree to weaken, the invasion of germs, and in severe cases, the branches are broken or even lodging and death. The eggs, larvae and pupae of the star beetle live in the trunk of the tree, which is harmful for a long time and difficult to control.
It belongs to the family Coleoptera, which is a beneficial insect and an important natural enemy of the large longhorn beetle. The newly hatched larvae will search for the "enemy" in the cavernous cavity of the beetle, and then parasitize and bite to kill the star.
