On April 26, the People's Court of the Shenzhen Park of the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone of the People's Court of Futian District of Shenzhen and the Hetao Circuit Trial of the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Court of the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Court were officially unveiled in the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone, which will actively build a judicial accelerator to help the high-quality development of the cooperation zone, provide strong judicial support and guidance for international innovation cooperation and the development of the science and technology industry, provide diversified, efficient and convenient judicial services for cross-border intellectual property disputes, and help create a world-class market-oriented, law-based and international business environment.
It is understood that in 2023, the use of intellectual property rights in Shenzhen will reach a new level. The Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Intellectual Property Operation Alliance was established, the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Financial Services Platform Hetao Special Zone was established, and the first Shenzhen-Hong Kong cross-border intellectual property securitization product was successfully issued. In 2023, 24 new intellectual property securitization products will be issued, with a scale of nearly 5.4 billion, and a total of 79 will be issued, with a scale of nearly 17.9 billion yuan, ranking first in the country in terms of issuance volume and issuance scale.
In addition, in terms of the protection of intellectual property rights involving foreigners, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, Shenzhen received 510 new intellectual property cases involving foreigners, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan throughout the year. The "Measures on Further Strengthening the Guidance on Responding to Overseas Intellectual Property Disputes" was issued to provide "one-to-one" response guidance for 597 enterprises, saving enterprises more than US$11 million in litigation costs and recovering about US$290 million in market losses.
It is worth mentioning that the Futian Court has recently established the Hetao Intellectual Property Judicial and Arbitration Collaborative Protection Center with the China (Shenzhen) Intellectual Property Arbitration Center, and the Futian Court will further use the Hetao Court as a platform to coordinate and link with the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Court, strive to create a benchmark model of inter-regional rule of law collaboration, promote the integrated development of the rule of law construction in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and promote the open innovation of the rule of law at a higher level and with a broader vision.

In 2023, Shenzhen will lead the country in many indicators of intellectual property rights. The city has 235,100 domestic patent authorizations and 249,700 trademark registrations, ranking first in the country, and 15,900 PCT international patent applications, ranking first among large and medium-sized cities in the country for 20 consecutive years. At the same time, Shenzhen has "escorted" enterprises to go overseas, further enhanced its ability to lay out overseas intellectual property rights, and ranked first among major cities in the country in terms of the number of patent disclosures and patent authorizations in the United States, Europe, Japan and South Korea.
