Announcement of the selection of the 5th Nanxi Academy Academic Award
Nanxi Academy, formerly known as Xinan Pavilion, is located in the south of Youxi County, Fujian Province, and was once the hall where Zhu Song lectured and taught his apprentices, and a generation of Confucian Zhuzi was born here in the Southern Song Dynasty (1130). In the first year of Jiaxi (1237), the county lieutenant Li built a temple to worship Zhuzi and his son, and in the first year of Baoyou (1253), Emperor Lizong gave the handwritten book "Nanxi Academy" to be named. In 2015, the People's Government of Youxi County, Fujian Province fully restored the academy, reviving the vitality of this ancient academy with important academic and historical significance.
In order to inherit and carry forward the academic spirit of "Nanxi Academy" and promote the in-depth development and international dissemination of Zhuzi studies, Nanxi Academy in Youxi County, Fujian Province established the "Nanxi Academy Academic Award" in 2016, and held the first award ceremony that year. Since then, the selection event has been held every two years, and has been successfully held for four times. 2024 is the 894th anniversary of Zhu Zi's birth, and in order to better inherit and develop Zhu Zixue, it was decided to hold the 5th "Nanxi Academy Academic Award" award event. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
1. Awards:
The "Nanxi Academy Academic Award" is mainly based on the academic achievements of Zhu Zixue research in the past two years, and special circumstances can be traced. One book award and five paper awards were selected at that time. The total amount of the prize money is 20,000 yuan (tax included), including 10,000 yuan (tax included) for one book award, and 20,000 yuan (tax included) for each paper award.
2. Organizational structure:
The "Nanxi Academy Academic Award" Judging Committee was established, and the members of the Judging Committee are as follows:

Qiu Jianrong Member of the Standing Committee of the Youxi County Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of the Propaganda Department
Member: Choi Young-jin, President of the Zhuzi Society of Korea, Professor of Sungkyunkwan University
Shigeji Azuma is a professor at Kansai University in Japan

3. Awards:
In the past two years (2022 and 2023), the research results (including monographs, papers, literature collation, etc.) published or published around the world can participate in the award regardless of the author's nationality and language used.
Fourth, the application requirements:
The application of individuals and academic groups is combined with the recommendation of the review committee of the "Nanxi Academy Academic Award". The applicant is required to fill in the declaration form in 3 copies (the original copy should be sent to the address where the work was posted, and the word document should be sent to the e-mail address at the same time). For those who apply for the review, please mail one copy (set) of the work to the mailing address of the work, and for the applicant for the review, please send three copies of the cover, back cover, cover 2, cover 3, table of contents and the content page of the paper to the mailing address of the work, and send the scanned copies of the above to the e-mail address. The application period is from April 17 to August 15, the evaluation period is from August 16 to September 15, 2024, and the publicity period for the award-winning works is from September 16 to 20, 2024.
5. Selection Method:
If the application is made in the form of an individual or an academic group, the expert judges of the Academic Award Review Committee of Nanxi Academy will score and decide 1 book award and 5 paper awards.

VIII. Rights and Obligations of the Winners:
The awardee's travel expenses (various means of transportation) to and from the awarding place shall be provided by the awarding party; the winner has the obligation to cooperate with the awarding party in giving academic speeches; the copyright of the winner's award-winning works shall be owned by Nanxi Academy after the expiration of the contract with the signed publishing house; and the winners' works shall be quoted, used and published by Nanxi Academy.
