On the eve of the Qingming Festival, the Provincial Department of Veterans Affairs and the Civilization Office of the Provincial Party Committee organized teachers and students from 1,000 primary and secondary schools in the province to carry out activities such as "wiping the tombstone, offering a bouquet of flowers, painting gold and red, reviewing the oath of joining the regiment (joining the team), writing a message card, and telling the story of the martyrs", and invited the old Red Army and veterans to tell the stories of the martyrs to the majority of primary and secondary school students on the spot, and help the majority of young people "buckle the first button in life". The online activity of "Qingming Festival for Heroes and Martyrs in 100 Gardens and Thousands of Schools" has been widely carried out on network platforms such as the New Fujian client. During the Qingming Festival, our province carried out a wide range of online memorial activities for the martyrs, relying on the Chinese Martyrs Network, the Fujian Civilization Wind Network, the "Civilized Fujian" WeChat public account, the "Soul Casting 2024 Qingming Festival for Martyrs" area of the new Fujian client, and the WeChat public account of the provincial, municipal and county-level veterans' affairs departments to open an online platform for the martyrs, encouraging all walks of life to watch the Qingming special program "Sacrifice at the Dawn", and actively participate in online memorial activities such as silent bowing, offering flowers, and signing messages to express the memory of the martyrs. As of April 6, more than 10.03 million people in the province have participated in the online festival.
In order to strengthen the publicity of the theme of the Qingming Festival, the Department Office, the Provincial Martyrs' Protection Center and the News and Publicity Group of the Department jointly produced a special promotional film of "Searching for Relatives and Casting the Soul" and published and broadcast it on many media platforms in the provinces and cities; It was broadcast on more than 100 platforms such as CCTV, with a total of more than 10 million viewers; mainstream media such as Fujian Daily and Fujian Television repeatedly published and broadcast special reports on the Qingming Festival in various places on important pages and time periods; Fuzhou, Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou and other places respectively produced public welfare propaganda films such as "Our Remembrance", "Remembering", "Shining Coordinates, Immortal Monuments", and "Remembering the Martyrs and Passing on the Torch" to carry forward the spirit of the martyrs.
During the period, the province's veterans affairs system also carried out a series of activities of "remembering the martyrs and caring for the martyrs", expressing their concern and care for the martyrs through memorial sweeps, video connections, and visits to the martyrs. The management units of the martyrs' cemeteries in the province paid tribute to 3,390 martyrs on their behalf; a total of 150 pieces of information were released in various parts of the province to find relatives for the martyrs, and in just a few days, relatives of 10 martyrs or burial places for the martyrs have been found.

A few days ago, in the Jinjing Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery, the Jinjiang Veterans Affairs Bureau and the Jinjiang Municipal Public Security Bureau completed the DNA sample extraction of the remains of four unknown martyrs. This is the first of its kind in Fujian Province. The purpose of this move is to analyze the information of unknown heroes and martyrs through modern scientific and technological means and help the heroes "go home".
