The offline event of China Brand Day 2024 has come to an end. Since 2021, on the eve of China Brand Day every year, China Development and Reform News will carefully plan and publish a special issue of China Brand Day around the theme of the annual event, which will be distributed to important guests and booths and forums of the Expo as conference materials.

This year is no exception. In the "Media Brand" section of the preface hall of the China Brand Expo, the reporter took a photo in the same frame of the special issue of China Brand Day for 4 consecutive years. Behind these four special issues is the four years of innovative exploration and courageous progress of China Development and Reform Newspaper in the field of brand building from "propagandist" to "servicer" and then to "promoter".

Propagandists

The media is a "megaphone" for telling Chinese stories with Chinese brands, so that the heritage and style of Chinese brands can be known by more people and the world.

On May 7, 2021, the newspaper launched a special issue of China Brand Day for the first time, achieving wider coverage of brand topics, greater reporting density and longer publicity cycle. The special issue, which has been published for four consecutive years, can be said to be "the beauty of each other, and the beauty of the same".

For example, in 2023, the newspaper will plan to launch 5 brand building review articles around five groups of dialectical relationships. Among them, "The "Times" and "Potential" of Consolidating the Foundation and Guiding Brand Building", "The "Guard" and "Change" of the New and Time-honored Brands Embracing the New National Tide", and "Breaking Through and Creating" of Chinese Brands Going Global by Drifting Oceans and Sailing" were included in the "Media Brand Report" chapter of the newly published "Annual Report on China's Brand Building (2023-2024)". The cover remarks of the special issue, "Leading the Quality of New Life with the New Power of the Brand and Promoting High-quality Development with Brand Building - Written on the Occasion of the Seventh China Brand Day", were also included in the report. In 2024, in addition to publishing a special issue of the newspaper, the newspaper will also publish a special issue of the magazine after the event, and distribute it to the organizers, local pavilions and related brand enterprises as the results.

If the publication of the special issue of China Brand Day is a "bloom" after a long period of brewing, the regular publication of the "China Brand" weekly makes the popularity of brand reports "always blooming".

On February 4, 2023, China Brand Weekly was officially launched, continuing to make efforts to interpret brand development policies, show the effectiveness of brand building, publicize the brand creation experience of various regions and departments, and a number of high-quality brand reports have emerged.

Among the four organizers of this year's China Brand Day, two are media support units, and China Development and Reform News is among them. From the formulation of publicity and promotion plans, to the coordination of the central, industry, and local media to do a good job in the promotion of activities, to undertake the specific organization and implementation of activities...... The newspaper has done a lot of solid and meticulous work.

From 2023 onwards, the China Brand Day News Center will be prepared, operated and maintained by the newspaper team, and will hold a media open day on the morning of May 10 for two consecutive years, organize media visits to the museum, and conduct interviews at the offline expo. This year, the media center innovatively launched 6 routes to visit the museum, and released report clues such as "Tomorrow's Attention" and "Today's Attention" in the event media group. According to the data, during the 2024 China Brand Day, a total of 393 reporters from more than 280 media participated in the report, and 63 reporters participated in the visit organized by the press center.

The editors and reporters of the newspaper are incarnated as "slash youths", who are not only the staff of the news center of China Brand Day, but also the front-line reporters of the newspaper, and some of them are also the operation and maintenance personnel of "one network and two micro" of China Brand Day...... In the experience, the comprehensive ability of the team has also been further improved.

The newspaper's supporting role in the annual Brand Day activities is not only at the meeting. Since April 2022, under the guidance of the Industry Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, China Development and Reform News has begun to host "one network and two micro" (i.e., the China Brand Day website, the "China Brand Day" WeChat official account and the "China Products Expo" WeChat service account). In December of the same year, the China Brand Day website (https://www.cibexpo.org.cn/) was officially launched after the revision and update. The WeChat public account of "China Brand Day" has also gradually realized the frequency of daily updates.

Facilitators

In recent years, the newspaper has continued to explore a series of brand building activities with localities, enterprises and institutions, paying close attention to and continuously tracking new theories and practices in brand building, and digging deep into advanced experience and vivid cases.

In the enterprise exhibition area of this year's offline exhibition, Kaiping Youpin, the first county-level administrative district brand in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, participated in the exhibition alone, from the exploration and cultivation of town-level administrative district brands in March 2022, to the "multi-point flowering" of county-level administrative district brands, and then to the offline exhibition of this year's brand day activities, Kaiping Youpin has embarked on a breakthrough road.

The newspaper has repeatedly investigated and reported on the innovative practice guided by this innovation theory, and continues to pay attention to the innovation and development of regional brands. On May 10, 2023, the newspaper hosted the regional brand innovation and development sub-forum of the China Brand Development International Forum; On May 20~26, the 2023 Regional Brand Expo will be held.

Since July 2023, China Brand Weekly has continuously launched a series of publicity reports on "Deepening Brand Creation", publishing the main practices and successful experiences of brand building in Fujian, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Shenzhen, Anhui and other places, and "adding bricks and tiles" to the building of local brand building.

On the morning of May 10 this year, China Development and Reform News announced in Shanghai that the 2024 brand promotion local tour was officially launched, further deepening and innovating China's brand promotion activities. The brand promotion local activities will take the lead in entering Guangzhou and Zunyi, and launch a series of activities such as brand Guangzhou and brand Zunyi, multi-perspective and all-round publicity and promotion of domestic products, famous and high-quality products, and continue to tell the story of Chinese brands.

On the journey of being a "propagandist", "servicer" and "promoter" of brand building, the newspaper will work hard and move forward bravely!
