Not long ago, a ceremony for the promotion of senior sergeants and the award ceremony for "craftsmen of the strong army" was held in the auditorium of a certain regiment of the Air Force. After the announcement of the list of personnel participating in the re-evaluation of "strong army craftsmen" this year, some officers and soldiers found that Zhang Zhang, the squad leader of a certain class who had successfully been rated as "strong army craftsmen" before, failed to renew the evaluation this time.
When the reporter found squad leader Zhang, he was discussing business difficulties with his comrades. "For me, it's a spur and a reminder to abandon the 'lie flat' mentality." Talking about the failure to renew the evaluation this time, squad leader Zhang was a little ashamed.
It turned out that before, there were few senior sergeants in the maintenance squadron where squad leader Zhang worked, and after he was successfully awarded the "strong army craftsman", he was quickly and successfully promoted to the third sergeant major. After calculating his own experience and honors, squad leader Zhang felt a little complacent, and felt that the current "old book" was enough, and he didn't have to fight so hard, and he could "rest his feet" and "relax" appropriately.
"Working hard in the early stage and eating the 'old book' in the later stage, this kind of phenomenon is not unique among senior sergeants." Leaders of the regiment's political work department said that in order to rectify the problems, they started with the system and mechanism, optimized the evaluation of the quality and efficiency of their work, and truthfully and objectively reflected the actual performance of each officer and soldier. For example, in the evaluation and renewal of the "strong army craftsmen", the team formulated the assessment standards for the first time, and included factors such as work attitude and backbone role into the assessment scope. Squad leader Zhang was defeated precisely because of his inactive work attitude and inconspicuous role as a backbone in a period of time.
"Look at the results as well as the process." The reporter learned that the regiment organically combined process evaluation with result evaluation by refining 38 evaluation rules in 7 categories.
Take Ou Haifeng, the second-class sergeant of a certain maintenance squadron who was rated as a "strong army craftsman" this time, he is the youngest mechanical technician in the maintenance brigade.
However, the party branch of his squadron felt that the dual-oriented work quality and efficiency evaluation in the process of implementing the results could not only focus on age and qualifications, but also focus on work performance and work style. During the research and discussion, everyone made an evaluation based on Ou Haifeng's actual performance: "Ou Haifeng is a direct recruit of aircraft maintenance majors, with a strong theoretical level, and has published 8 failure analysis articles and obtained advanced skill levels, which has a greater advantage among his peers", "has led 4 new recruits to become the backbone of the unit's business, and has played an obvious role in inspiring and driving" "Not only has strong personal quality, but also has good management ability, and after half a year of placing a single order, the unit he is responsible for has the fastest growth and the greatest change"......
The party branch of the squadron not only considered the business achievements of Ou Haifeng and other comrades-in-arms horizontally, but also compared their growth trajectory and future development trend vertically, and decided to recommend Ou Haifeng, who was finally awarded the "strong army craftsman".
"Through the establishment of a scientific quality and efficiency evaluation mechanism with clear standards and a perfect system, the internal motivation of the army can be further enhanced." Leaders of the regiment told reporters that in recent years, they have adhered to the dual orientation of results and processes, sorted out and solved many difficult problems restricting the development of grassroots construction, and more than 20 officers and men have been awarded honors of merit of the second class or above, and the overall construction of units and the cultivation of personnel have reached a new level.
