In order to continue to enhance the society's care and care for "Xingbao" and create a warmer autism-friendly atmosphere, on April 13, Huangpu District organized the "Hand in Hand, Care for Xingbao" autistic children's red-themed hiking activity, leading autistic children to shuttle through the red classics of Huangpu, feel the historical encounter and mission, and help "Xingbao" integrate into the general environment of life and growth.
The event was hosted by the Huangpu District Civil Affairs Bureau, supported by the District Disabled Persons' Federation, and undertaken by the Shanghai Hobby Children's Rehabilitation Training Center. On the day of the event, 10 groups of autistic families and 12 volunteers were paired to complete this love walk hand in hand.
There are 4 "red" points in the whole process: the site and memorial hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the memorial hall of the former site of the central organ of the Chinese Socialist Youth League, the memorial hall of the former residence of Sun Yat-sen in Shanghai, and the Marne Statue Square in Fuxing Park.
As the spring day is late, the trees are blooming, and "Xingbao" and their parents are relaxing and enjoying the good time when all things germinate. Volunteers joined hands with the families of the children during the hike, laughing and bringing them closer to each other. Under the guidance of volunteers, parents encourage their children to express their thoughts and emotions and listen to their inner world. Parents share their feelings with their children so that they can feel cared for and supported by adults.
After nearly 5 hours, everyone came to the Marne statue in Fuxing Park. The "Xingbao" chatted about the interesting things and anecdotes during the hiking process, and felt deeply proud to live in this red place where the original heart began. The teachers presented commemorative medals to the "Star Treasures" and encouraged them to continue to participate in social activities in the future to better understand and integrate into society.
The joyful and fulfilling integration activities exercised the social skills of children with autism, and also made them feel the warmth and care of the society. The activity hopes to let more people understand autism, accept, understand, tolerate and care for autistic children together, so that "star children" are no longer "lonely".
