On April 13, in Minsheng Village, Yi Bai Township, Dafang County, the annual lunar "March Three Bai Reunion Festival" arrived as scheduled, attracting tourists and local people from all over the country to gather here to celebrate this traditional festival and feel the unique charm of Bai culture.
The original theatrical program is attractive
Dafang County is a multi-ethnic area, including 11 ethnic minority townships, among which the Bai nationality is one of the important ethnic groups and has rich cultural traditions.
The annual "March 3rd Bai Reunion Festival" is not only an important festival for the Bai people, but also an important moment to show the unity and harmony of the Bai people. This festival not only strengthened the exchange and integration between the Bai nationality and other ethnic minorities in the surrounding areas, but also played a positive role in promoting the harmonious development of ethnic areas.
On the opening day of the reunion festival, Dafang County held a variety of activities. Wonderful programs such as Bai dance, Bai three-course tea ceremony and Wenqin opera with generous characteristics were staged in turn.
The traditional dance of the Bai nationality "Ada Jump" kicked off the festival. With their unique dance steps and rhythms, the Bai dancers from Walnut Township told the life attitude and historical inheritance of the Bai people's unity and mutual assistance. It shows that the ancestors of the Bai nationality have been thinking in one place for a long time, working in one place, twisting into a rope, life and death together, and it is difficult to solve the inseparable relationship.
As an ancient and unique form of opera in Dafang County, Wenqin opera also occupies a place in the festival. The profound cultural connotation and exquisite skills displayed in the opera make every audience admire it.

The three-way tea culture of the Bai nationality is a highlight of this reunion festival. This unique tea culture experience attracts the attention of many tourists and villagers alike. The Bai Jinhua people are dressed in traditional costumes, holding sand pots, and serving "bitter tea", "sweet tea" and "aftertaste tea" in turn.
The first is the first tea - the tea of bitterness, which means the philosophy of life: "To establish a business, first endure hardship". This tea is roasted and boiled, so it looks like amber, smells burnt, and tastes bitter when drunk, so it is called bitter tea, usually only half a cup, and the guests must drink it all.
Next up is the second course of tea, Sweet Tea. When the guests have drunk the first course of tea, the host re-uses a small clay pot to place the tea, roast the tea, and boil the tea, and at the same time, put a little brown sugar in the tea cup, and pour the boiled tea soup into the cup until it is eight minutes full. The tea brewed in this way is sweet and fragrant, and it is very delicious. It means "life in the world, what to do, only if you can endure hardship, will there be sweet fragrance".
This is followed by the third tea – the aftertaste of tea. The method of boiling tea is the same as before, except that the raw materials in the tea cup have been replaced with an appropriate amount of honey, a little fried rice, a few peppercorns, a pinch of walnut kernels, and the tea soup capacity is usually six or seven minutes full. When drinking the third course of tea, it is generally done by shaking the tea cup to make the tea soup and condiments evenly mixed. This cup of tea tastes a perfect blend of sour, sweet, bitter and spicy, and has an endless aftertaste.
This "one bitter, two sweet, three aftertaste" Bai three-course tea, so that every drinker can experience the life philosophy of the Bai people, and the guests present were amazed.

"Tie-dyeing is the intangible cultural heritage of the Bai nationality, known as 'twisted valerian' in ancient times, is an ancient dyeing technique in China, generally using cotton white cloth or cotton and linen blended cloth as raw materials, and the dye is mainly indigo. At the Bai Intangible Culture Experience Point, the tie-dye master introduced and guided the tourists to twist and dye the fabric. In a short time, a beautiful pattern was dyed.
Zhao Jiankai, as one of the main participants of the event, shared his feelings: "The Bai Reunion Festival is not only the inheritance of traditional culture, but also a platform to show the customs of the Bai nationality. Every year in the third month of the lunar calendar, we will let more people understand and respect the Bai culture through such activities. ”
