In Xi'an, one of the busiest port stations is Xi'an International Port Station. To the west, it runs 18 international trunk lines from Xi'an to Almaty in Kazakhstan, Tashkent in Uzbekistan, Hamburg in Germany and the Trans-Caspian Sea, covering the entire territory of the Eurasian continent; to the east, it runs rail-sea intermodal trains from Xi'an to Qingdao, Ningbo and Lianyungang; and to the south, it runs to Vietnam and Laos.

On the big screen of the transportation command center of Xi'an International Port Station, the dispatch map is like a sophisticated circuit board, and every change of electronic signals marks the circulation trajectory of thousands of tons of goods. With more than 30 years of experience, Li Pei, the stationmaster on duty at Xi'an International Port Station, is very cautious every time he issues plans and orders.
The efficiency of "100 minutes" is inseparable from the support of hardware facilities. Xi'an International Port Station is the only 3-beam and 6-line railway container center station in China, with 59 domestic railway operation lines, 18 international container operation lines, and a container yard of 690,000 square meters.
The whole timetable train improves the quality of China-Europe trains
"China-Europe Express + cross-border e-commerce" makes it more convenient to buy and sell globally, and at the same time, it has driven the continuous extension of the online "New Silk Road". Nowadays, among the goods sent by the China-Europe Express in Xi'an, there are not only local goods from Shaanxi, but also goods from the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Southwest China that are assembled in Xi'an and sent to Europe.
Among these trains, there is a type called the full schedule train. It realizes the smooth handover of the Chinese section, the broad gauge section and the European section by eliminating the invalid stay time when the train is reloaded at the port station.
The biggest advantage of the whole timetable train is that it is stable and efficient, and the measures of "priority marshalling, priority hanging, and priority departure" are adopted to ensure that each section of the carriage is completed according to the handover date, time and specified trains, and effectively improves the quality and market competitiveness of the China-Europe train. Taking the Xi'an-Duisburg train as an example, it departs from Xi'an International Port Station every Wednesday and Saturday, runs 9,908 kilometers, and arrives in Duisburg in about 12 days, and the whole running time is more than 30% shorter than that of ordinary trains.
Today, the China-Europe train from Xi'an has a stable and guaranteed timeliness, and has achieved full coverage in Europe. Shao Boer, general manager of Xi'an International Inland Port Group Multimodal Transport Company, said that now not only domestic cargo owners, but also foreign cargo owners will also choose to take the China-Europe train from Xi'an.
In November 2013, the Xi'an China-Europe Railway Express was launched, in May 2020, the cumulative number of trains exceeded 5,000, in August 2021, the cumulative number of trains exceeded 10,000, and in September 2023, the cumulative number of trains exceeded 20,000. It took 78 months to complete the first 5,000 columns, and 11 months to complete the fourth 5,000 columns.
Qi Xiaoyong, deputy director of Xi'an Railway Station Customs, said that in recent years, the issuance of China-Europe freight trains has shown a "blowout" growth, and we have opened up the data link between customs and railways, realized the synchronization of customs inspection and railway security inspection, increased customs clearance efficiency by about 50%, and promoted the high-quality development of foreign trade.
