Due to its large employment capacity, low entry and exit thresholds, flexibility and part-time properties, the new form of employment has become an important channel for absorbing employment, and its role in increasing labor participation rate, employment flexibility and income of workers has become increasingly prominent.
In 2022, the Lanzhou Office of the China Workers' Insurance Mutual Association and the Gansu Provincial Federation of Trade Unions launched a mutual aid and security activity for 100,000 workers in the new form of employment in the province advantages, integrate resources, boldly explore, and creatively promote the work of the trade unions of workers in new forms of employment to go deeper and more practical, so that the coverage of trade unions and work of workers in new forms of employment has been further expanded. Let the workers in the new industry feel the temperature of the trade union while gaining a sense of stability, highlighting the responsibility and feelings of the trade union organization.
In 2024, in order to implement the deployment requirements of the 18th National Congress of the Chinese Trade Union and safeguard the medical security rights and interests of workers in new forms of employment, the Lanzhou Office of the China Workers' Insurance Mutual Association will respond to the initiative of the ACFTU and the China Mutual Association on organizing special activities for workers in new forms of employment to participate in insurance, and after the completion of the pilot project of the "Special Comprehensive (Hospitalization + Accident + Critical Illness) Mutual Aid and Security Activities for Workers in New Employment Forms" in 2022, it will conscientiously summarize the results of the work, and follow the safety norms, In January 2024, with the approval of the China Employee Insurance Mutual Association, the "Special Comprehensive (Hospitalization + Accident + Critical Illness) Mutual Aid Insurance Activity for Workers in New Employment Forms" was optimized and adjusted.
Event content
After participating in this activity, when a member is hospitalized due to illness during the validity period of the mutual insurance policy, the member can receive a mutual aid fund in accordance with the relevant provisions of this activity to alleviate the financial difficulties of the member's family when the member dies or becomes disabled due to an accident or burn, or is diagnosed with one or more of the 30 types of major diseases listed in this activity for the first time.
