At noon on April 10, the double-width rotating bridge spanning the Chengdu-Chongqing Railway on the No. 1 road in the Diaoyuzui area of Dadukou District, Chongqing (referred to as the No. 1 road in the Diaoyaozui area) rotated slowly and synchronously along the counterclockwise direction at a stable rate, and it took 110 minutes to achieve precise rotation.

It is understood that the bridge is located in the Diaoyuzui area of Dadukou District, Chongqing, and the rotating bridge part of the Chengdu-Chongqing Railway is two 90-meter-long T-shaped rigid bridges, with a total weight of more than 14,000 tons, a single bridge width of 16.75 meters, the bridge body contains 2.7% of the longitudinal slope, a curve radius of 900 meters, and a single bridge weight of more than 7,000 tons.

Chen Yong, project manager of Chengdu Railway Engineering General Contracting Company, introduced that in order not to affect the normal passage of China-Europe trains between Chengdu and Chongqing, the project adopts the construction method of prefabricating the bridge on both sides of the line, and then transferring the bridge to the predetermined position through the hydraulic jack system.

When the bridge body rotates, the bridge pier is taken as the axis, driven by the hydraulic jack, and the two rotating bridges are rotated synchronously in the counterclockwise direction. In order to prevent the bridge from overturning, the bridge is weighed by a jack before turning, the construction parameters such as unbalanced moment, eccentric moment and friction coefficient of the rotating part are measured, and then the bridge eccentricity is calculated according to the weighing data for counterweight, so as to maintain the balance of the bridge body in the process of turning.

It is reported that after the completion of the road, it can improve the transportation connection between the Diaoyuzui Peninsula and other areas of Chongqing, greatly reduce the traffic time, and greatly improve the travel conditions of citizens in the area.
