March 22, 2024 is the 32nd "World Water Day", in order to further improve children's awareness of water conservation, educate and guide children to establish good habits of water conservation, and build a conservation-oriented society, Xincheng Road Primary School specially launched the theme practice activity of "Working Together to Save Water and Protect the Source of Life".
In the activity, we have designed different tasks for students in different grades. The first and second grade students did a meaningful little thing about water conservation by understanding the knowledge of water conservation and putting it into practice. They actively look for opportunities to save water in their daily lives, such as turning off the faucet in time and making reasonable use of domestic wastewater, and practice the concept of water conservation with practical actions.
The third and fourth grade students conducted an in-depth investigation of their family's water use situation after class, and made exquisite knowledge cards of "saving water and cherishing water". These cards detail various water use scenarios in the home and corresponding water conservation tips, and are designed to guide family members to develop good water habits.
The fifth and sixth grade students used their creativity and imagination to learn more about the water source situation in their hometown after class, and made a beautiful hand-copied newspaper through the knowledge they collected. These hand-copied newspapers are illustrated and vividly illustrate the state of water resources in their hometowns and the importance of protecting them.
The theme education activity of "Caring for Water Sources and Saving Water" has received positive responses and extensive participation from teachers and students in the park. Through the activities, the students not only gained an in-depth understanding of the importance and scarcity of water resources, but also learned how to save and protect water resources in their daily lives. We believe that as long as everyone starts from themselves, starting from small things, they can jointly contribute to the protection of the water resources of our homeland.
