In view of the backward rural development in underdeveloped areas, the China Rural Development Foundation (formerly known as the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation) launched the Baimei Village Project in 2013. Samsung China and the China Rural Development Foundation (CRDF) entered into a partnership in 2015 to support the "100 Beauty Villages, Sharing Villages" project for the comprehensive development of rural areas in China's underdeveloped areas. In 2018, China Samsung and the China Rural Development Foundation successively organized inspections and reviews in many places, and finally comprehensively considered the current situation of poverty, operating market, development willingness and other factors, and determined that Baiyan Village, Danjiang Town, Leishan County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, was the Samsung Sharing Village Baiyan Village Rural Tourism Demonstration Project, aiming to build a comprehensive demonstration village of rural revitalization with strong industry, ecological beauty, cultural prosperity, mechanism activity, and rich people, and named "Muyunjian". Promote the development of rural tourism economy by building boutique homestays, so that local low-income people can get rich through the circulation of idle houses, labor in cooperatives, and allotment of shares and dividends.
