In today's China, if you want to talk about educators, you can't just focus on universities or so-called research institutes. In today's China, if you want to talk about educators, you can only look down, to thousands of ordinary primary and secondary schools. Third, the education and teaching theories explored, summarized and refined by the two teachers in education and teaching are of greater value and practical significance to China's basic education today than those theories summarized by sitting in the research room of the university and relying on a few Westerners' education and teaching works.
Fourth, the educational philosophy embodied in the education and teaching practice of the two teachers is the soul of the educator. What is the educational and teaching philosophy embodied in the education and teaching practice of the two teachers? The author believes that the core educational concept is to serve the children of the ordinary people, who account for the largest number of people, and to serve the children of ordinary people to become talented and successful. This point is incomparable to those so-called educators or teaching "famous teachers" who are in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen and have an annual salary of hundreds of thousands, or even millions.
This can't help but remind me of Mr. Tao Xingzhi, a famous educator in the mainland. It can be seen that the reason why Mr. Tao Xingzhi is an educator is because his educational philosophy is to serve the vast majority of the Chinese population. In Mr. Tao's view, only by educating the peasants, who account for the vast majority of the Chinese population, can China become completely strong. Obviously, Mr. Tao's educational philosophy is not outdated to this day. However, at present, under the influence of all the trend of looking at money, who is willing to believe in this theory and devote his whole life to the practice of this theory? It can be said that there are very few. However, in this scarcity, we finally saw two educators who dedicated themselves to this educational philosophy, one is Mr. Wei Shusheng and the other is Mr. Zhang Guimei.
What is the way out for China's basic education? It is not in those schools in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, but in the vast "third world" schools where teachers Wei Shusheng and Zhang Guimei are working hard. This is the most realistic and valuable way out of China's basic education.
