At about 11:20 a.m. on July 15, Cai Wurui, a police officer who was on duty at nanchong railway station in Sichuan, received a security inspection team member who reported to the police that a male passenger entered the Nanchong railway station with a bottle (about 200 ml) of chemical liquid that could not be identified.

Police officer Cai Wurui immediately went out to the police, and found a middle-aged man who looked nervous at the scene, and an unknown liquid with a yellow bottle cap and the words "Dali Ranch, Cooked Yogurt" written on the bottle. After opening the cap, there is white smoke coming out and the smell is pungent. The police immediately separated people and objects at the scene.

After on-the-spot interrogation, the passenger claimed that the liquid he was carrying was hydrochloric acid (later weighed to 210 ml), which was a prohibited dangerous substance. Cai Wurui immediately called the police of the law enforcement case handling team and summoned the passenger Weng Mou to the Nanchong Station Police Station in accordance with the law to accept the investigation.

After investigation, Weng Mou is a native of Putian, Fujian. On July 15, he was going to take a train from Nanchong to Dazhou to find a friend, planning to ask a friend to help find a place to clean the goldware, and carried a bottle of hydrochloric acid with him, ready to be used to clean gold. It was seized while passing through the security inspection area of Nanchong Station.

In the end, Weng admitted to the fact that he illegally carried dangerous substances into public places and was administratively detained for 5 days according to law.
