Passengers can log on to the 12306 website, mobile app or directly purchase train tickets at the ticket window of the station. The railway department reminds that by submitting a standby order for multiple combinations of "date, train number, and seat", the success rate of waitlist ticket purchase can be increased.

The reporter investigated at the station and found that although the New Year's Day holiday was only three days, because of the New Year's Eve, passengers had a strong willingness to travel. Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi'an and other key cities start and end in popular routes, the number of passengers is relatively concentrated. The industry expects that the first day of the holiday will usher in a small peak of passenger flow.
Shan Xinghua, chief researcher of the China Academy of Railway Sciences and deputy director of the Railway 12306 Science and Technology Innovation Center, said that the 2024 New Year's Day holiday is expected to have a small peak of passenger travel, but most of them are short and medium-haul. The railway has made arrangements for the delivery of transport capacity, and 12306 has also made various technical support preparations to further improve the passenger ticket purchase and travel experience.
