In 1853, Pierre Guerlain, the first generation of Guerlain perfumers, created Guerlain's first cologne - Guerlain Imperial Water for Napoleon III's wife, Empress Eugenie, which witnessed the love between Napoleon III and the Empress, and also won the name of "Royal Perfumer". At the same time, in order to match the eau di royale, Guerlain's iconic craft, the bee print bottle, was born. Inspired by the triumphal bronze pillars on Place Vendôme in Paris, the designer created a glass bee stamp vase decorated with 69 bees carved in solid gold and delicate flowers. At the CIIE, Sylvie Badin and Joanna Maslo, apprentices of Guerlain female craftsmen, also visited the exhibition site to share the 195-year-old skills and ingenuity of Guerlain. Craftswoman Sylvie Badin has been working at Guerlain for almost 30 years and expresses her desire to pass on this craft. Joanna Maslo, a new generation of craftsmen who studied under Sylvie Badin, also shows a passion for creating fine art.
