The speed and quality of China's infrastructure construction are famous in the world, so there are many countries that come to our country for construction.
Croatia asked China to build a bridge for them, and with this bridge, their problems with their neighbors were solved......
Why was the bridge built?
If the bridge is to be built, it is naturally because there is a need, and some people are curious, in this case, they did not need to build the bridge before?
In fact, there was really no need for this before, which has to mention the history of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which were still one country in the last century.
We are all very familiar with this country, that is, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, since they are all one country, then there are certainly not so many restrictions on exchanges between them.
But since the split of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the problem has become more complicated, although Croatia has a relatively long coastline, but in the middle of its coastline, there is a coastline of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the coastline of Bosnia and Herzegovina is 24 kilometers.
Don't underestimate this stretch of coastline, which is very important for Croatia and for Bosnia and Herzegovina, which divides Croatia into two parts.
This is naturally inconvenient for Croatia, one is not conducive to the unity of the whole country, and the other is that it is inconvenient to travel.

Because they need to go through cumbersome procedures, when they enter Bosnia and Herzegovina, they need to go through the entry procedures, and then when they go out, they have to go through the exit procedures.
This is a very long time-consuming process, both for Croatians and for those who travel to Croatia.
In such a situation, Croatia naturally wanted to pursue a more convenient way, and after thinking about it, they decided to build a bridge across the sea to connect the other half of Croatia.
But Bosnia and Herzegovina did not agree, because if Croatia built a cross-sea bridge, it would probably affect Bosnia and Herzegovina's shipping.
You must know that the port of Nem is the most important port in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it is also the only one, so the importance of this port for Bosnia and Herzegovina is self-evident.
So Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina discussed this matter, and under the pull of the two sides, Bosnia and Herzegovina finally relented and agreed to Croatia to build a sea-crossing bridge, but Bosnia and Herzegovina let them not affect their own shipping while building the bridge.

Problems encountered
The construction of a sea-crossing bridge without affecting the normal passage of the port of Nem in Bosnia and Herzegovina is a very technical test, after all, to ensure that the passage of ships is not affected, it means that the bridge has to be built very high.
Another point is that the terrain of Haiti in Nem Bay is very complex, and if the bridge is built, it will also cause great inconvenience, and the EU attaches great importance to environmental protection.
Therefore, if they start construction, they must control the damage to the environment within the specified range, you know, when the piling of the bridge is built, some mud must be generated.
The waste generated during the construction of the bridge also needs to be disposed of centrally, so it is indeed difficult for Croatia to do it alone in such a situation.
Since there are so many problems faced when building the bridge, it means that the construction of such a bridge will cost a lot of money.

In 18 years, the project officially started, and it only took more than three years for the project to be completed, and the successful completion of the bridge also brought a lot of benefits to Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

For Croatia, this bridge is of great significance, because it connects the Croatian land, and if they want to go from one place to another, they don't have to enter the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
