Yi Concubine in history: Deeply favored by the Kangxi Emperor, why was she publicly humiliated by the Yongzheng Emperor

The TV series "Kangxi Micro Service Private Interview" has been popular all over the country, in addition to the Kangxi Emperor played by Zhang Guoguo, Yifei, played by Deng Jie, has also left a deep impression on people. Although the story of the Kangxi Emperor's private visit is purely fictional, the character of Yifei is real. Concubine Yi was the favorite concubine of the Kangxi Emperor, but after the death of the Kangxi Emperor, she was actually humiliated by the Yongzheng Emperor in public.

According to historical records, Concubine Guo Luoluo was born in Manchuria, and her father was the three official baos of Zuoling. In August of the sixteenth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, the Kangxi Emperor sealed the harem for the first time, and Guo Luoluoshi, who had not yet given birth to a son, was named Yi Concubine, and at this time, the Yongzheng Emperor's biological mother, Princess De, was still an ordinary official woman, and the so-called official woman was a palace girl who could serve and sleep, and her status was very low. Later, Princess De gave birth to the fourth son of the Emperor, Yin Chan, and was promoted to Concubine De.

Princess Yi was deeply favored by the Kangxi Emperor and also gave birth to many princes, such as the fifth son of the emperor, Yin Qi, the ninth son of the emperor, and Yin Yu, the eleventh son of the emperor. As the so-called Aiwu and Wu, the Kangxi Emperor also took good care of Yifei's family, and during his eastern tour, he twice stayed in Yifei's mother's house, and also appointed Yifei's father to "take charge of the Internal Affairs Office of Shengjing Guanfangyin". In December of the 20th year of the Kangxi Dynasty, Guo Luoluo was promoted to the title of Concubine of Yi, second only to Concubine Hui.

When the history books record the relationship between Concubine Yi and the Kangxi Emperor, it is said that "the Holy Ancestor loved it very much" and "cared for it the most". By the end of the Kangxi Emperor's life, Concubine Yi ranked third in the harem, and the only ones in front of her were the noble concubines Tong Jia and Huifei Nala. However, on the night of November 13, 61, everything changed, the Kangxi Emperor died in Changchun Garden, and Princess De's son and the fourth son of the emperor, Yin Chan, succeeded to the throne, that is, the Yongzheng Emperor.

During the funeral for the Kangxi Emperor, Concubine Yi was also seriously ill and had to sit on a soft bed carried by four people. During the ceremony, Concubine Yi, who was riding on a soft bed, walked to the front of Princess De. This scene was just seen by the Yongzheng Emperor, who was very angry, because he had already become emperor, and although his birth mother was not officially crowned, she was already the empress dowager, so Concubine Yi's behavior was "very arrogant, and it was incompatible with the state ceremony."

The Yongzheng Emperor reprimanded Concubine Yi's retinue eunuchs and palace maidens on the spot, and although it was the eunuchs and palace maidens who were scolded, people understood that this obviously referred to Sang Scolding Huai! Although Concubine Yi was not the birth mother of the Yongzheng Emperor, she was still a mother concubine after all, and now she felt very humiliated by such humiliation. However, the Yongzheng Emperor felt that he was still not angry, so he issued a holy decree on November 29, publicly accusing Concubine Yi of her behavior.

There are three main contents of Yifei's "crime": First, Yifei did not pay tribute to the empress dowager (that is, concubines), "all the mothers and concubines should obey the state ceremonies as before"; second, Yifei took a soft bed and did not respect the empress dowager; third, did not respect the new emperor, "When Concubine Yi saw the emperor, her temperament was similar to that of the empress dowager, and she was completely ignorant of the national system." Naturally, the Yongzheng Emperor could not punish Concubine Yi, but he threatened, "If you do not change your mind, you will be convicted of the crime of governing the country according to the law."

Although this matter does not look big, it has an extraordinary background. The ninth son of emperor Yin Yu was the son of Concubine Yi, a core member of the Eight Kings Party, and a political enemy of the Yongzheng Emperor. At that time, the position of the Yongzheng Emperor was unstable, and he established his authority as emperor by reprimanding Concubine Yi. Princess Yi was very unhappy to live in the palace, and later moved to the palace of the fifth son of the emperor, Yunqi, and Yongzheng died of illness in the eleventh year.
