The plaintiff alleges that Booking, which began defaulting in arrears in July this year, demanded compensation of about 36 million yen, or about 1.74 million yuan, for accommodation facilities located in eight first-class administrative districts, including Tokyo. According to Japanese media reports, due to the arrears of accounts of Binke, some hotels and hostels in Japan have difficulties in capital turnover and even face the risk of bankruptcy.
