August 25, 2023 is the seventh Disability Prevention Day. In order to fully implement the National Action Plan for Disability Prevention (2021-2025) and enhance the awareness of disability prevention among residents in the jurisdiction, the Zhengdong New District Disabled Persons' Federation and the Children's Rehabilitation Department of Zhengzhou Summer Palace Hospital jointly carried out publicity and education activities with the theme of "Preventing Congenital Disabilities and Safeguarding a Better Future".
At the event site, the staff set up a health education consultation desk, and popularized the prevention and rehabilitation knowledge on the prevention and treatment of birth defects, children's health, rehabilitation and assistance policies for disabled children and other forms to families with special children who came to participate in the activity through posters, leaflets, fun games and other forms. At the same time, 150 disabled children in Zhengdong New District who are undergoing rehabilitation training have also prepared publicity materials such as electric kettles and alcohol watering cans.
