These drowning first aid knowledge
Parents and children
Be sure to keep it in mind
The degree of damage from drowning is time-dependent, and the earlier the rescue, the smaller the damage.
There are five key components to a successful first aid: prevention, identification, provision of floating objects, disengagement from the water, and on-site first aid.
prophylaxis
(1) Those who are too full, fasting, drunk, drugged, or unwell should avoid going into the water or engaging in water activities.
(2) Children, the elderly, and the disabled should avoid approaching water sources alone.
(3) Before swimming, you should warm up and adapt to the water temperature to avoid cramps.
(4) Stay away from the rapids, wear life jackets according to the requirements of the place, and avoid using inflatable swimming rings in natural environments, as they are easy to burst.
(5) It is not recommended that the public use the method of hyperventilation to prepare for underwater apnea. If possible, start swimming training as early as possible in childhood.
identify
It is important to recognize the signs of drowning in a timely manner, as the drowning person usually does not cry out for help and can manifest as 5 signs: facing the shore, mouth exposed, head tilted back, body upright, and ladder climbing.
If you find a drowning person, you should shout for help, seek help from nearby people, and immediately call 110 or 120 for emergency services and seek professional assistance.
Floaters are provided
Provides floating debris to prevent inundation.
Before professional rescue arrives, bamboo poles, clothing, ropes, floating objects, etc. can be delivered to the drowning person to pull the drowning person back to shore. It is not recommended to have more than one person join hands in the water for rescue.
Out of the water
Do this only when it's safe to do so!
If it is necessary to enter the water to save a person, the rescuer should approach from behind, insert one hand from under the armpit of the drowning person and hold the arm on the opposite side, or support the head and drag the person back to shore in a backstroke. Pay attention to prevent the drowning person from being entangled in a tight hug, should curl up and sink himself, and wait for the drowning person to let go before rescue.

遵循ABCD原则,即按照开放气道(airway)、人工呼吸(breathing)、胸外按压(compressions)和除颤(defibrillation)的顺序急救。
