Artist: ~~Andreas C. Chrysafis~~
Andreas S. Andreas C. Chrysafis is an internationally acclaimed Greek Cypriot artist, published author and recognized Saatchi artist. Each of his paintings tells a story, and his canvases are exhibited in museums and private collections around the world, including the National Museum of Folk Art and the French Academy in Nicosia. His artwork was donated to the Children's Cancer Institute in Calescachio in Nicosia.
Andreas was born in the small village of Ayios Ambrosios and grew up in London and Vancouver, Canada. He completed his studies at Holland Park Comprehensive College and attended the Royal College of Art in London. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Designers (ABID) and practises as an architect in Canada and the UK.
There is no doubt that he has a strong, unwavering will and always strives for excellence in whatever he does. While in Canada, he actively promoted the organization of assistance to more than 200 child victims of Greek Cypriot refugees in the Turkish military invasion. During the presidency of Archbishop Makarios, he also played a key role in the establishment of the internationally recognized Greek Cypriot organization in the diaspora.
He is a UK patent holder for an invention; He is a thinker, environmentalist and supporter of human rights, equality and the rule of law.
Today, his time is split between London and Cyprus, with much of his time spent painting works of art and writing books.
