The World Championships are the places in the sailing and windsurfing events at the Paris Olympics, and the top 10 countries in the women's 49erfx class can earn a Paris Olympic spot. The final seats were Sweden, the Netherlands, Australia, Belgium, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, the United States, Norway, Spain and Denmark.

The women's 49ERFX class became an official event at the Rio Olympics, where both the Brazilian pair of Glyer and Kunze won the event. The Netherlands have performed well in recent years at the World Championships, having won four titles in the last five World Championships. Anholt is a member of the 2021 World Champions, while Dooz is a two-time World Champion in 2018 and 19. In 2022, the combined combination of the two also won the World Championships. Aiming to defend their title at this year's World Championships, they face a strong challenge from last year's World Championship runners-up Swedish duo of Beubke and Keatsler. The Swedish combination has been leading since the regular round at this World Championship and is constantly expanding its lead. And Anholt and Douz became the pursuers. After the regular round, the Swedish pair, already 36 points ahead of the Dutch pair, won early without a medal round, which was eventually cancelled due to weather conditions. The Swedish combination won the championship directly, and this was the first time Sweden won the 49erfx championship. The defending champions finished runners-up and the Netherlands missed out on a third consecutive title. Price's Australian team of Hasselding won bronze, the first time an Australian team has won a World Championship medal in this event.

🇨🇳 Wen Zaiding/Liu Tian 118 points, ranked 26th (Silver Group)

The World Championships are the Paris Olympic sailing tournament, and the top 10 countries in the men's 49er class can earn a Paris Olympic spot. In the end, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, New Zealand, the United States, Great Britain, Poland, Croatia, Denmark and Austria each won an Olympic spot.

Similar to the women's 49ERFX class, the men's 49ER is a tandem boat of the same gender, and the most dazzling combination of the event in recent years is undoubtedly the New Zealand duo Berlin and Tuke, who are Olympic champions in Rio and runners-up in London and Tokyo, where they won six gold medals in the men's 49er category. They also represented New Zealand in the 2021 America's Cup and contributed to New Zealand's victory. However, they have not competed in the 49er class this cycle. The Tokyo Olympic champions British pair of Fletcher and Bissell also did not compete in the World Championships in the last two years. The best results in the event so far in this cycle are undoubtedly the Dutch duo of Lambrix and Floris, who have won two consecutive World Championships. In this year's World Championships, they were strongly attacked by last year's World Championship runners-up Spanish pair Botin and Paul, but in the latter round the Spanish combination made more mistakes, ranking lower in several rounds. The Dutch combination has been at the forefront by relying on strong stability. In the end, the Dutch pair of Lambrix and Floris had accumulated enough lead before the medal round to finish the medal round and successfully crown the world champions for three consecutive years. The Swiss pair Schneider and Arnold finished second, while the Spanish pair Botin and Paul finished bottom of the medal round and were overtaken by the Swiss pair to finish third. Last year's World Championship runner-up and 2018 world champion Croatian duo of the Vändre Brothers finished eighth.
