On the evening of December 26th, the "Eternal Art - Commemoration of Cantonese Opera Master Ma ShiZeng and Red Line Women's Special Evening Party" was staged at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Guangzhou. Ma Shizeng and the female disciples of the Red Line, together with a number of famous artists and rookies in the Cantonese opera industry today, joined hands to interpret the classic Cantonese opera Cantonese opera of Ma and Hong, bringing a Cantonese opera feast to the audience.
In 2020, it coincided with the 120th anniversary of the birth of Ma Shi Zeng, the founder of Cantonese opera Ma Pai, the 95th anniversary of the birth of Hongpai Art Founder Hongdou Nu, and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Guangzhou Hongdou Cantonese Opera Troupe founded by Hongpai Nu.
In order to commemorate these two artistic masters who have made outstanding contributions to the development of Cantonese opera, colleagues in the Cantonese opera industry in Guangdong province, under the guidance of the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, sponsored by the Guangdong Prosperous Cantonese Opera Foundation, the Guangzhou Revitalization cantonese opera foundation, the Guangdong Cantonese Opera Promotion Association, the Red Line Women's Art Center, the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Theater, and the Guangdong Cantonese Opera Co-organized, held this special commemorative evening entitled "Eternal Art".
At the party, Ou Kaiming, Zeng Xiaomin, Li Junsheng, Guo Fengnu, Chen Yunhong, Qiong Xia, Cui Yumei, Su Chunmei, Zhang Xiongping, Wu Feifan, Li Hongtao and many other famous Cantonese opera performing artists, together with Li Weixiao, Chen Zhenjiang, Chen Jianchao, Chen Junmin, Li Jiayi, Mo Yanyun, He Yinghua, Chen Yunling, Wu Haojian, Chen Meijuan, Han Fangfang and other Cantonese opera rookies performed on stage, one by one reproducing "Zhaojun Out of the Plug", "Guan Hanqing" "Decisive Writing Dou E'e Grievance", "Hong Chengzuo" "Punishment", "Search Academy" "Step Moon Lyric", "Search Academy" "Step Moon Lyrical", "Search Academy" "Temple Encounter" of "Bitter Phoenix Warbler Pity", "Three Steps and One Worship" of "Diao Man Princess", "Wisdom Fight/Broken Fort" of "Mountain And Countryside Wind and Clouds" and other horse and red genre art classics.
At the end of the party, a group of horses and red disciples and all the actors sang a red classic Cantonese song "Ode to Lychee" to push the party to a climax. The wonderful performances of a group of Cantonese opera masters and rookies made the audience addicted to drama.
The cast and crew said that the evening party inspired them, as contemporary Cantonese opera workers, to unite and forge ahead, inherit the past and open up the future, and carry forward the noble feelings and superb performances of their predecessors and pass them on from generation to generation. Before the opening of the evening, Chen Jianhua, former director of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Congress, delivered a speech, and Mr. Ma Dingsheng, the son of Ma Shizeng and The Daughter of the Red Line, read out the speech.

The famous Cantonese opera performing arts master Ma Shi was once known as the "Cantonese opera taidou" and "a generation of lingwang". His original "beggar throat" and "horse cavity" are half singing, half white, and clear, and sometimes add dialect slang, lively and funny, and are evaluated by the Cantonese music community as "unprecedented, lacking in the future". He is committed to the promotion and reform of Cantonese opera. He was the first to use dialect slang in Cantonese opera and to quote Western music accompaniment. He also set a precedent for the use of female Hua Dan and male and female classes in Cantonese opera troupes.
The famous Cantonese opera performing arts master Red Line Woman is a generation of masters of Cantonese opera art. She created one of the most influential singing genres in the history of Chinese Cantonese opera, the Red School Art, which represents the highest achievement of Cantonese opera Danjiao art and sets an immortal monument for Lingnan Cantonese opera art and even Chinese culture. The Red Line Woman has rooted in the people with art all her life, played songs for the people, is a people's favorite people's artist, and is the banner and synonym of Cantonese opera. Ma Shizeng and The Red Line Woman co-created "Guan Hanqing", "Search Academy", "Diao Man Princess Huan Ma", "Bitter Phoenix Warbler Pity" and many other popular classic plays, which have been performed to this day. In 1956, Ma and Hong took the Cantonese opera "Search Academy" to Beijing for performance, which was highly praised by Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi and other national leaders, and won the reputation of "Red Beans in the Southern Country" for Cantonese opera. In 1990, The Red Line Woman single-handedly founded the Guangzhou Hongdou Cantonese Opera Troupe. The troupe undertakes the important task of inheriting and developing the art of Ma Shi Zeng and The Red Line Female Genre, rehearsing a number of Ma Shi Zeng and Red Line female representative repertoire over the years, and cultivating and transporting a large number of outstanding artistic talents for the Cantonese opera industry. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the regiment.
