The reporter learned from the Shantou Red Cross Society that on the 17th of this month, Zhang Kang, a student of Shantou University, completed hematopoietic stem cell donation at the General Hospital of the Southern Theater of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and he also became the 11983rd donor in the country, the 1181st donor in Guangdong Province, and the 17th donor in Shantou City.

Zhang Kang, a 22-year-old senior at Shantou University Law School, actively participated in various volunteer service activities carried out by the college, and actively participated in unpaid blood donation activities. As early as when he became a volunteer for hematopoietic stem cell donation, Zhang Kang had decided to do his best to save a life and a family without affecting his health. After receiving the notice of successful matching, Zhang Kang did not hesitate to agree to donate at the first time.
