Although there are relatives in the week, it is not as good as a benevolent person. The people have had it, and they have given it to one. "Discretion and discretion, judgment of the law, repair and abolition of officials, and the political conduct of the four parties." Rise and destroy the country, inherit the world, lift up the people, and return the people of the world to their hearts. Emphasis: people, food, mourning, sacrifice. Yao said: "Sigh! Shun! Heaven has sent down a great task to you, and you must practice what you preach and stick to the Middle Way. If the people are poor and poor, your blessings will end. Shun also admonished Yu in this way. Carefully examine and approve the weights and measures, restore the abandoned office, and the decrees of the four sides of the world will pass. Revive the destroyed country, inherit the severed clans, and promote the talents that have been left behind, and the people of the world will sincerely submit. Generosity will win the support of the people, sincerity and trustworthiness will gain the trust of the people, diligence and sensitivity will achieve merit, and justice will be pleasing to everyone.

Gentlemen have no widows, no small and big, no dare to be slow, and they are not proud and arrogant? A gentleman is right in his clothes, respects his gaze, and looks at it like a man is afraid of it, and he is not mighty but not fierce? Zi Zhang Yue: "What are the four evils?" Zi Yue: "Killing without teaching is abuse; not abstaining from being violent; slow orders are called thieves; Judas is also with people, and the miserliness of cashiers is called mastery." ”

Zi Zhang asked Confucius what principles he needed to abide by in handling political affairs, and Confucius said: In handling political affairs, we must abide by five good principles and abandon the four bad behaviors. Zi Zhang asked what are the five good principles that must be observed, and Confucius said: Managers give benefits to the people but do not waste financial funds, let the people work without complaining, ask for something but not greedy, be self-respecting but not arrogant, and make people obedient but not fierce. Zi Zhang asked how can we be good for the people, but not waste financial funds? Confucius said: If there are no obstacles to what is beneficial to the people, won't it be beneficial to the people and there is no need to invest financial funds? Let the people who are willing to pay pay, who will complain? The pursuit of caring for people can get people's support, why covet fame and fortune? To be helpful to others and to be able to level a bowl of water, is not self-respecting but not arrogant? Being in a superior position but not doing something that violates the law, people have both what they want and dare not disobey, isn't it convincing and not fierce? Zi Zhang asked: What are the four bad behaviors? Confucius said: If you do not clearly understand the rules and regulations to be observed, you will be punished according to the system, which is called abuse; if you do not clearly understand the task objectives to be completed, you will be evaluated according to the goals, which is called violence; if you cannot strictly manage and demand achievements, this is called a thief; promising the rewards of others, but being reluctant to honor them, this is called having a division.

Confucius said: "If you don't know your destiny, you can't think of a gentleman; you don't know etiquette, you can't stand up; you don't know what you say, you can't know who you are." ”

If you don't understand the Mandate of Heaven, you can't become a gentleman, if you don't know etiquette, you can't declare yourself in the world, and if you don't know how to distinguish the words of others, you can't understand others.
