Zhang Kangyang's farewell letter reads as follows:

Dear Inter fans,

Saying goodbye is always hard to say, especially when you have to say goodbye to your loved ones. In life, everything has a beginning and an end. I always knew that one day I would say goodbye to you. The simple truth is that I wasn't ready, and probably never will.

Eight years ago, when I first walked into Meazza to watch a football match at the age of 24, I had no idea what was waiting for me. The amazing emotions I felt that day drove all my decisions over the years. This unique blue-black world immediately embraced me and filled me with passion, joy and deep love.

Since then, I have grown a lot on a personal level, and these experiences will remain in my heart forever.

At the beginning of my presidency, I promised to bring Inter back to the top, which is where the club has always been. In those eight years, we have won seven trophies, reached two European finals and won Serie A twice. The second star of the legend is a testament to our success.

After a major investment and countless hours of work, Inter Milan has transformed itself into a modern, innovative and victorious club at the highest level of European football.

Over the past three days, I have received many messages, phone calls, and posts from all of you. I must admit that it made me feel loved, but it also made this goodbye more difficult. Thanks to Inter, I have found people who are like family to me today and will be treasured for the rest of my life.

On May 22, Beijing time, according to Beiqing Sports News, after Oaktree Capital took over Inter, it will wait for anyone to come forward to negotiate the acquisition. And Zhang Kangyang failed to find a solution in the tug-of-war, and it cannot be ruled out that there will be a legal battle between the two sides.

In May 2021, Suning's Inter received a three-year loan worth €275 million at an annual interest rate of 12% from US fund Oaktree Capital.

The loan is secured by Inter's equity, and if Suning fails to repay about 375 million euros with interest by May 21, Oaktree Capital has the right to enforce the pledge of Inter's equity and thus become the owner of the club.

In terms of pledged shares, this includes not only 68.55% held by Suning, but also 31.05% of the shares held by LionRock Fund.

On June 6, 2016, Suning Group and Inter Milan Club jointly held a press conference in Nanjing, and Inter entered the Suning era.
